Abyss heard Softkit's breath- or rather, didn't hear it- and inhaled sharply. That was the last straw. He stalked out of the nursery with the full intent to track down and attack Blackrain.

blackrain woke up as she hears a mouse, she flicks her ears and licks her paw, her wet paw rubbing her face.

Glaciereye flicked his tail and sat down on his haunches, licking his paw and drawing it over his ear. he shook his head and plopped onto his belly, staring into a puddle.

Lionclaw walks over to Blackrain and prods her side. "Umm are you ok...?"

Brightpaw walks around camp. She wanders into the nursery to see Abyss.

back in camp, Willowkit staggers sleepily out of the nursery and nearly collides with Brightpaw

Brightpaw looks down at Willowkit. "Hi Willowkit. Have you seen Abyss?"

Willowkit shakes her head. "No," Willowkit looks down sadly. "Um, m-maybe we could go hunting or something?"

"I can't take you out hunting. You're only a kit. You have to wait until you're an apprentice like me." Brightpaw replied. "I'm sorry."
