Shadow slunk through the trees, making noise loud enough to send the whole forest packing and on their way to safety. He snapped large branches, not even trying to make an effort to keep quiet. The mountain lion blood tasted good to him, making his mouth water. Shadow stepped into a clearing, oblivious of what was headed straight towards the clearing. He stopped still, hearing a faint sound above him. Shadow looked up just in time to see a white female dragon come crashing down onto the forest. He leaped back, dropping the mountain lion to the ground. Shadow scrambled back into the trees.
He heard the sickly sound of her crash landing down onto the forest floor. Shadow slowly turned around and stared at the unconscious female dragon. He padded out from behind the trees, cautious and curious about the white dragon.

Shadow crept over to her, unaware that she had been knocked out cold. He slowly lowered his head and looked her over, wondering if she was dead. Shadow reached out with a large paw and softly poked the white female. She didn’t react to the pressure of his sharp talon.
“Yep.” Shadow said to himself, sitting back. “She’s dead…” he nodded slowly, agreeing with himself. He stood to leave, but froze, seeing her chest rise and fall. She was alive. Shadow lowered himself so he was level with the dragoness, taking in her scent. He stared at her motionless muzzle, not knowing what to do. Shadow shrugged then stood up and walked over to her side. He reached out and shook her, steadily yet furiously, trying to awake her. Shadow didn’t know what to think. He couldn’t decide on whether to stay and help her, or go on with his business and just pretend this had never happened.
Finally he gave up, knowing he couldn’t wake her with his mere shaking. Shadow sat back in thought, sighed then shut his eyes. He growled under his breath then looked the dragoness over again.

(Time lapse. 8D

It just takes a while for her to wake up from her change, so I need a time lapse. :3 )

It took a while until there were some small signs that the female dragon was waking up. For a moment, her eyes opened, light blue, which then switched back to red and then to blue. Then her eyes would close, and her body would go limp again. A few times, in her unconscious state, she would tense as if against a large pressure of weight was against her, and then relax. Finally, after a while, the female dragon opened her eyes.

Her vision was hazy, and it was hard to tell where was what. She blinked hard a few times against the light and frowned. Someone else was there, but who? She tried to see, but everything was so blurry, and when she tried to move her long neck, she winced and tried to not cry out in pain.

Shadow gasped, unable to move. He stared down at the helpless female, stunned that she could move. Shadow, after a long while of shock, moved around and faced the dragoness. He looked at her pain stricken face, not knowing how or what to do to help her.
“Can you move?...” Shadow asked stupidly, already knowing the answer. He laid down in front of her, staring into her red eyes. Shadow titled his head slightly, then took in a deep breath.

(Oh no! You’re contagious! Now I have the WB! Nooo….)

The female dragon, suddenly hearing a voice, tensed and tried to get up, but only to feel a sharp searing pain that shot down her hind legs. Opening her eyes again, she saw the face of a black male dragon staring at her curiously. Not really having the energy to see if she could talk right then, the dragoness tried to move, b

Shadow watched in amusement as the female dragon tried to stand. He sneered at her, a sick smile spread across his black muzzle. “Calm down…” Shadow said with a slightly disturbed tone. “You’re in no condition to be moving around. Just lay down…” he said calmly, relaxing himself in the soft grass. “I’m not here to kill you.” Shadow said and then laid his head down on his large paws. He looked at the white dragon with curiosity, deeply wondering why she had folded her wings and fallen. Shadow tilted his head slightly to one side, then shut his eyes for a brief moment. He opened his eyes and stared at the female. “Just calm down.” Shadow said again, but this time more kindly.

The dragon, slightly comforted that the dragon was trying to calm her, relaxed slightly. She wished that she had fallen in water or something so that it would of at least broken her fall, but then there was the fact that she would drown, since she had been unconscious. She wished that she could speak, but her throat felt sore for some reason, and she didn't want to try to speak just yet. She stared up at the male dragon, wondering if he was wondering about how she had been unconscious on the ground of the forest floor, a gaping hole through the trees straight above her.

Shadow raised his neck and glanced up at the opening in the canopy. “That was one heck of a landing.” he said with a slight laugh, glancing back at the white dragon. An awkward silence fell over Shadow, making his gut feel a bit queasy. He smiled at the her, revealing his bright white fangs. Blood stains still lingered on his lips, giving him a terrible look. Shadow ruffled his wings, letting them unfold and lay spread out on the grass. His long whip-like tail flickered back and forth, swaying in a hypnotic movement.
“I’m, Shadow.” He said, breaking the silence of the peaceful forest. Shadow sighed slightly then looked over the female once more, trying to see if she had any other injuries that didn’t see before.

Finding that it was at least time to see if she could speak, the female dragon opened her mouth and spoke in a light voice, which grew stronger as she found that she could actually speak. It sounded melodic, but at the same time, dangerous. "I'm Fallen Ashes." she spoke, moving her neck to see more of where she was, but the wincing as she felt something twinge in her neck. Feeling like this was a warning that her body was sending her, the dragon was forced to keep her head in the same position.
