Shadow crept through the dense forest, low down pressing his stomach against the dirt floor. He slowed down, hearing something not to far ahead. Shadow snaked his head around from behind the underbrush and stared out into the clearing. He narrowed his eyes in search for the source of the sound. There. A mountain lion was sitting curled up in the shade of a large tree. Shadow's mouth began to water as he eyed the large cat laze around in the dark of the forest. He lowered himself into position then waited. Shadow opened his mouth and let out a pig squeal. The mountain lion lifted it's head and stared off at the direction of Shadow's hiding spot. Shadow had learned how to imitate the sound a pig made by squeezing his throat shut then letting out a blast of air. And it worked.
The mountain lion leaped up and ran at Shadow, only to be leaped on itself. Shadow bit down on the cats neck, which he almost snapped into two. He shook the life of the animal, picked his prey up in his jaws, then padded back to his campsite.

Iku was surrounded by three large male wolves. They jumped and one grabbed his tail, one his wing and the other his neck. He roared and lashed his tail againsty the stone wall slashing the side of the wolf on his tail. She slammed his side against the same wall to crush the one on his wing, but he couldn't reach the one at hte base of his neck.

Renika appeared out of nowhere and slashed at the last male. Turning him to shreds and getting off her brogther. She laughed at him teasingly, "Must I always save you?"

Iku looked at the dragon that had helped his sister save him. "Hey there Brambleyes. Thanks for the help there."

Renika walked over to the two, "Hello Brambleyes."

"What are you doing?", Iku asked Brambleyes.

Renika laughed and butted her brother, "Hello. She heard your death scream like I did. Duh!"

A small herd of deer were resting by the side of a creek, five of them in all. Two young ones bounced about happily in the stream, while the older deer stood by the side, drinking water and eating grass. As the deer enjoyed themselves, little did they know of someone who was watching them, or rather something. In the shadows of a large oak tree, red eyes watched the deer, hungry for the creature hadn't eaten in days. The deer, who were too intent on their meal, didn't pay any attention to the dragon that lurked in the shadows. That, would be what they find a huge mistake on their behalf. As they played, a black female dragon slowly slid out of the shadows, silent and deadly, waiting for it's chance.

And that chance, came very quickly. One of the baby deer had galloped through the shallows of the water, too far away from it's herd. Suddenly, the water came to a very steep drop, and the fawn suddenly shot down in the water, frantically paddling it's long limbs to keep afloat. It fought to keep it's head above the water for quite some time, when a shadow fell over the deer. It looked up, thinking to see that it's herd had come to help it, but they hadn't. It was a dragon. that was the last thought that coursed through the fawn's mind before the black she-dragon clamped it's jaws firmly on the fawn's middle, and the wet body went limp. Unhappy that she had only managed to grab a small fawn, the dragon marked the spot in her mind where the other deer still were. With enough luck, the deer herd would come right as she finished eating the fawn, so that she could get some extra food in.

Eating the deer quickly, for it was just a snack, the dragon yawned, showing rows of sharp white teeth, slightly tinged a rose color from the left over blood of the fawn. She settled down, lying in the shadows, but listening, waiting for the deer family to fumble across her path. Sure enough, after about ten or fifteen minutes, the sounds of the deer's hooves thudding against the ground could be heard. The female dragon picked up her head and thought for a moment, getting ready. It would be easy to summon a deer spirit in the water, to make it look like their own fawn... then if they were distracted by it, she could sneak forward and attack from behind, the deer herd unawares. Satisfied with her scheme, the black dragon closed her red eyes, and focused her thoughts on spirits from another dimension. Calling to one, it came down and landed in the lake, taking the color of a light brown, slowly materializing. Looking around, the fawn spirit waited until it was told what to do, and then, hearing it's orders, started splashing about in the shallows. When the deer herd would come into view, the female dragon would tell the spirit to go into the deeper end of the water, and pretend to be drowning.

Happy now, the dragon sat back on it's haunches and waited. The deer herd was there in a matter of minutes, and spotting the "fawn" in the shallows, they started rearing up and down, making noises at it to come back. The spirit seemed to hesitate, but then kept on playing in the shallows, only taking orders from it's summoner. The deer herd, genuinely confused, starting making louder noises, unhappy that the fawn wasn't obeying them. They had to get back before some predator heard their cries. Little did they know, that a predator had anticipated their cries. Suddenly, the spirit, as commanded, fell into the deep part of the waters, and started making frantic braying noises. The herd was in hysterics, and there was so much panic, that they didn't see the female dragon rise up behind them and suddenly snap up another of their members in her jaws. Their attention soon diverted back to the dragon, all the deer freaked out and ran all over the place. The spirit in the water disappeared, making the deer more confused as ever. A few managed to get loose, but the dragon was able to get at least two more, leaving two out there left from the deer herd.

Satisfied with it's progress, the dragon ate the remaining deer and then bounded out into the forest, finding a clearing, and taking off into the air with a few great flaps of it's leathery black wings. It gained altitude, soon soaring over the forest, high up in the air. It was making great headway to some mountains in the distance, but suddenly, something inside the dragon clicked. The female dragon's red eyes momentarily switched to aqua blue, and then back to red. This happened again, as the demon half of the dragon tried to remain in control, but the other side was stronger. The eye suddenly flickering to a firm vivid light blue, the dragon's wings folded in a dead faint and started tumbling to the ground. As the dragon fell, it's black hide turned to a gray color, and then white. It was close to the tree tops, and the used to be black dragon, now white, hit the tree tops soundly, the trees cracking under the weight, and giving way. Tumbling down through the maze of branches, getting a various number of smacks and hits, the female dragon soon landed with a loud thump on the bottom of the forest floor. There she lay, totally unconscious, and silent.

------------------------------------------------

Far away from where the female dragon had fallen, was another dragon. This dragon, was a huge white male, and was standing at the female dragon's would-be destination. The mountain. His white neck arched high, he stared about calmly. Having just had a good meal of some wolves who had been lingering around his place for some time, he was content and full, ready for some sleep. Closing his gray eyes for a moment, he sat there, enjoying the feel of the warmth on his face, but suddenly, he stopped. Something on the horizon caught his eye and interest, so he looked close, frowning. His neck leaning forward and stretching out, the dragon narrowed his eyes, trying to find what the speck in the sky was. A bird? No... to large for a bird. Maybe it was just another dragon enjoying their flight. Trying to forget about it, the dragon closed his eyes again.

Only for them to be opened yet another time. Something about the speck made him feel slightly uneasy. It was flying, full speed towards the mountain where he was, but suddenly, it froze in mid air. It had seemed a little tipsy a few minutes before, as if it wasn't quite unsure, or wasn't looking where it was flying, but why had it stopped? It knew that it would only fall to the ground. And that was exactly what it did. The figure in the distance's wings folded, and started to fall towards the ground like a meteor, only the figure started to change too. The form grew a little bit smaller, and the hide of the dragon changed from black to a pure white. Standing up, the white male dragon tried to get a better view, confused. Who was this dragon? How could it change? Why could it change? He frowned again, turning around as the dragon's body hit the tree tops and vanished from his sight. None of his business. Why should he care?

Walking into a tunnel that lead to his sleeping cave, the male dragon yawned, sleep suddenly overcoming the questions about the strange figure in the sky. Following endless maps in his head of his home, he soon came to the center cave of the network of all the tunnels, and lied down, very soon, falling asleep.
