Rowanstar jumped atop the High-rock, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the High-rock for a clan meeting!" he yowled, not for the first time. It was the fifth time he'd called a meeting as leader, as Rockstar had died a few moons ago. The tom sat, waiting for his clan to gather.
Blossomfall padded into the tunnel that was Dewclan camp, holding two large rabbits. She dropped them on the fresh-kill pile in the back of the main cavern, then went and sat at the base of the high-rock, facing towards where the clan would soon gather. It was the first time she'd actually been deputy at the start of a clan meeting, so she tried not to look to tired even though she'd hardly got a wink of sleep the night before.
Yarrowleaf hissed very quietly, padding out of his den to see what was going on. He sat just to the side of the tunnel that led off to the dens.
Lynx scrambled outside as her new owner opened to glass door. She looked around fondly, it was only her second time outside. The four-moon-old red tabby she-cat licked one white paw, then jumped up onto the fence-post. She saw a mouse just past the fence, just like last time, and jumped over into the Oak Forest again. Her friend Broccoli had said that huge scary cats lived in these woods, but she didn't believe her. She'd forgotten about the mouse, and when she finally remembered about it it was gone without a trace. She jumped back into her yard unhappily.
