Rainstar raised an eyebrow. "Now is really not the time," she meowed to Spottedpaw, narrowing her eyes slightly. "I'm rather busy, if you can't tell." She gestured with her tail to her kits, and turned away from Spottedpaw.

"Sorry, Rainstar" Spottedpaw meowed as she back away spotting a glance at the kits "The kits are adorable, Rainstar." Spottedpaw turned away and walked back to the apprentice den

Ospreyfeather eyed the runt wearily. He had no memory of any ginger cats in his family, nor of any ginger cats hanging around Rainstar. "Maybe her pelt colour is from your side?" he mewed, gently grooming the smallest kit. He watched in adoration as the tiny she-kit squirmed in reaction to the way he groomed her.

Moonkit yawned, opening his small mouth as wide as he could and revealing a cute little tongue. With a purr of satisfaction, he dragged himself closer to Rainstar and began pawing her belly, stimulating milk flow as he began suckling.

Rainstar thought for a moment. She couldn't think of a ginger cat on her side of the family. She shrugged, they all shared the same ancestors, after all. "Who knows? It could've been a gene from generations ago." She smiled as her kits suckled at her belly, and she licked each affectionately kit atop the head. "I can't believe we're finally parents," she whispered to Ospreyfeather as she watched her kits with awe and adoration gleaming in her bright blue eyes.

Littlekit kneaded Rainstar's belly and suckled hungrily. She mewled in pain when another kit stepped on her back paw, but she continued suckling without a second though.

Silentpaw followed him. "I... I did. And when he became... Bad, I wanted to defend him. But he... Never came back." She says, looking at her paws.

Snowpaw frowned and reached his tail out to stroke Silentpaw's cheek sympathetically. "I'm sorry, silentpaw. I really am," he meowed. "Is there anything I can do to make you feel better? To boost your spirits?"
