"Everything's fine, how are you?" Daybreak asked quietly, angling the tip of her ear so it was crooked and the other was flattened to her head.

"Oh, great. Everything is going great." Scarletpaw said with an awkward, embarrassed smile. She felt weird talking to a warrior, but she wanted to make more friends in the clan. She then moved her tail in a guesture, telling Daybreak to have a seat in the shade.

Daybreak saw her expression and her polite gesture, and she thought about how polite the apprentice was even when she was embarrassed and nervous. She offered a quiet smile before joining her in the shade, sitting down and wrapping her tail neatly around her paws.

[sHa-ZAM! XD]

Scarletpaw let out of faint sigh of relief. She then asked "What is it like to be a warrior?"

Daybreak opened her mouth to give a simple answer, but decided the apprentice needed a reasonable one, so she clamped her mouth shut. Her tail tip twitching slowly back and forth, she thought silently before saying, "Well, it's always going to be exciting once you become a warrior," she began. "And you always feel great, being able to hunt and fight for your clan without many restrictions."

[Puddles.]

(Later, on phone)

"That must be a great feeling. Hopefully I'll get to feel like that one day." Scarletpaw replied dreamingly. "Would you even say it's the best feeling ever?" She asked curiously.

Barkfur stiffly tried to get up, but plopped back down. As his pelt moved around, tons of fleas scattered to a different. Place on his pelt. "That's right! You better run you little pests!" Her hissed under his breath.

Cloudfrost's patrol had just reached the west border. She renewed the scent marks and grimaced at the smell of the other clan. She hated the other clans, and was prejudice of them.

"I guess you could say that, yes," Daybreak responded to the apprentice with a small smile. She was pretty sure there had to be better feelings but so far, she had experienced none greater then being a Birchclan warrior. But then again, she always felt weird when Crowfoot was around, so you could say she had felt something else then just being a warrior.

Scarletpaw saw glimpses of doubt in her eyes as she heard Daybreak speak. "I don't know why, but I hope it isn't the best feeling." She said wondering what could the she-cat was thinking, that could be a better feeling.

Daybreak nodded slowly, then drew a paw over her face as he whiskers trembled. "I don't believe it is, but obviously, I haven't felt it yet," she explained to the apprentice, her mind still on different emotions she felt practically every day.
