Kay was watching the Cln from a high oak. He saw his cousins, Nightclaw and Deathfang go out hunting. He also saw their kits, all ready for training. Also Twigpaw, in the medicine cat den, sorting out herbs. He's been apprentice for a long time now. Featherpaw came back early, carrying a water vole in his jaws and put it on the fresh-kill pile. He ran outside to practice fighting alone. He was followed by Blackpaw but thornpaw didn't come back. 'Maybe they visited the ThunderPath and are returning just now' thought Kay. He climbed down wishing he could meet his cousins and their kits personally.

Leopardstar sat in her den. She looked at the floor of the small cave as she thought about the clan. 'There are many clans around here' she thought to herself. 'At any time they could attack'. She stood up padding out of her den and looked around camp. There wasn't much food in the food pile, and the clans barrackade was growing weaker she had noticed. She tried to shake the thought out of her head but it still bothered her for some reason. Knowing the clan might suffer for this reason she jumped on the high rock ready to give out some patrols and orders on what to do to fix the clan.

Desertflower peeked out of her den. She saw Featherpaw stalking some stray leaves. "Featherpaw. Can you do something for me? She asked.

"Featherpaw trotted over to her sister. "What?"
