Rowanbranch laughed. "We're in trouble, then," she purred, taking another bite out of the squirrel's flank. She glanced around the nursery, shifting in her nest. "I can't believe I'm back here," she meowed softly. "I mean, the last time I was here, I was in the den with the kits..."

Snakeclaw Nuzzled Shadowheart who was still in her grip. He put his head into her arms. "This is weird, apprentice and mentor." he said to her chuckling.

Oakstream chuckled with happiness. "Yes we are!" he said cheerfully sinking his teeth into the tasty squirrel meat for the first time. "That was only what, a moon ago?" he asked.

Oakstream shook his head wioth her. "I know it just seemed like a moon ago for some reason." he said chuckling at his foolishness.

Rowanbranch purred. "It feels like just yesterday," she meowed wistfully. "I can't wait until the kits are here; then we'll get to relive the experience," she meowed.

Darkpelt grinned and pressed his nose to Bluetail's cheek, his ears still burning slightly. "Okay... I just, wasn't sure. I don't know about kits, they seem... scary." He said, furrowing his brow. He wasn't kidding, the thought of having his own kits seemed looming and intimidating. But he was willing to do it. At Bluetail's last comment, he gave a little laugh. "Oh, I don't know if the world is ready for another little Darkpelt." He joked, whiskers twitching with amusement.
