Flowerpetal woke up and crawled out from the nursery. She went into the Warrior's Den and saw Flamefur. "Flamefur?" she called whispering.

Petalfur smiled and rested her head on him. "I know you have something on your mind your not telling me." she said sternly. "Please tell me?" she said gently.

"No, I can't." Pebblefrost replied, closing his eyes "I'm sorry" he added, wanting to explains his growing doubts.

"Why?" she asked sadly. "It's about me isn't it?" she added putting her head and body farther away from him.

flamefur woke up and walked to the warriors den entrance . " yes?" , he asked.

Pebblefrost couldn't bear to tell her, "oh star clan." he sighed, looking at the ground.

Flowerpetal hung her head in tiredness. "I'm so tired but I can't fall back asleep." she complained.

Petalfur looked away. "Fine, you don't wanna tell me." she said slinking away from the warriors den.

Tinderclaw stared longingly at the nursery. He wished hehad kits of his own.

Pebblefrost sighed "No.... ahh" he tried to say but he just couldn't. He felt tears stinging his furred cheeks and his ears draw back in shame.

"You can tell me." Petalfur said coming back to sooth him. "Nothing hurts me." she assured him.
