Bluetail huddled closer to her best friend, draping a foreleg over his comfortingly. She knew he was on the edge of death, and she badly wanted medical help to come and save him. If it didn't, well, she would take it upon herself to comfort him and hold him close until Starclan led his soul to a place of no suffering or pain. She wouldn't let him die cold and alone; if he was to pass on, then the last earth-bound memory he would have would be being comforted by someone who really cared about him.

"Don't cry..." she whispered softly, licking them away like she always did with soft kind eyes, "I'm right here...I'm not going anywhere..."

Her injury and broken rib twisted in spasms, and she fought to remain still. She could feel blood dribble out from between her lips, but she didn't care. If Rainclaw died because of her...Then...She didn't know what she would do.

I will ask Dawnstar to take my title as Warrior away...I don't deserve it when my incompetence gets a Clan member killed...

Rainclaw closed his eyes. He looked up longingly one last time at her beautiful face, his green eyes shining with the lights of Starclan, he sat up a little "You'll never walk alone, you'll never stand alone, you'll never fight alone" he whispered in her ear. He soon went still, his green eyes still looking at her.

{{ back! ish... I will definitely be slow at repying. I've read through the posts when I've been gone, and is it okay for Darkpelt to get involved in the badger attack? The only reason I ask is that he won't have anything to do after Bluetail leaves... it's totally fine if you say no, if it's just a rainclaw-bluetail moment. =3 }}

{{Rainclaw and Bluetail have just been ambushed by a badger while they were out talking privately. An unknown golden Loner tom, who turns out to be Rainclaw's brother, saved the both of them by killing the badger. Rainclaw is on the verge of death and Bluetail is seriously injured but she doesn't realise it. Flamestreak has gotten Whitepaw for medical help, but he may not make it. Flamestreak and Rainclaw's brother are on the scene watching over them as Bluetail is lying beside Rainclaw, comforting him and making sure he's calm. The badger attack has happened raining-pouring (trust me, it was fast), but you can have Darkpelt being injured I guess, up to A U T U M N snce she organised the happening. You could possibly have him come now since it seems Rainclaw has passed onto Starclan ;_;}}

Bluetail cried with his words, and suddenly the wave of dread flooded her as Rainclaw went very still. His green eyes were alight with the touch of Starclan, and they were looking straight at her.

"Rainclaw? Rainclaw?!" she began shaking him, "RAINCLAW!"

She threw her head back and screamed her pain; a tortured sound no cat could ever make naturally. Her claws gripped his pelt tightly, and she buried her face into his bushy chest. Her screams and yowls of pain and sorrow came from her heart; her very soul.

Swiftsong heard the retched screams and rushed to the scene where her brother lay "No... no please no!" she took yowled, her heart feeling like it was leaking with sorrow.
