She was the fiercest she-wolf you ever did see, maybe even a better fighter than Roseblossom. And horses, don't worry. You weren't in that roleplay with us.))
Oleo licked her cheek softly. "That's what I was going to say."
Kecil poked her head out from behind Blaze's legs, commenting "Gosh, it stinks in he-" then she saw Luka's body, and sat down heavily. "But... but he was alive last night!"
Briar curled up to sleep out the storm while his sister silently buried her three dead pups next to the old bones and then laid down next to her son.
~timeskip, six hours. Sunset.~
Blaze had rolled a boulder in front of the entrance to Luka's den, then curled up with the pups in the main cavern. He didn't really feel like sleeping in his den- he figured they should hold a vigil or something for one of their own. Kecil sat with him, crying quietly.
Briar awoke to Rose's gasp, and ran to her side. A small poll of blood had formed around her while she slept, and she coughed feebly. "Rose!" Said Briar, loudly. "What-" She pulled him close with a paw and whispered, "Tell Luka what happened to me, Briar," she coughed again, weaker now. "And brother, please... take care of my son. His name is Patch- raise him as if he were your own. Please. Briar, I'm begging you." Her eyes were desperate, and Briar licked his sister's cheek. "I will, Rose, but you're not going to-" her eyes told him differently, so he bowed his head. She closed her eyes and breathed her last, flopping limply as her sprit left for the Star Fields.
Briar's eyes streamed tears, but as he curled around Patch, he knew he had to get home with the Rose of Death as soon as possible.
