Pertaining to your characters:

This is a Lion King related rp. Therefore only lions and lionesses allowed.

I don't care if you character has cheetah or another African feline in them, but they must look more lion than the other type of feline.

Keep your character's colors at last somewhat realistic. So no blue, green, red, purple, pink or any other color that isn't at least somewhat natural for pelts and/or eyes. Also no wings, powers and/or jewelery. Scars and such are fine... just don't go overboard.

No lion or lioness is perfect. You may have a character who is blind, mute, deaf, etc... just don't expect a bunch of sympathy and what not.
Also, no character is the best at everything they do.

No force mating.
Along with that; no instant mates... Instant crushes are OK, but a relationship takes time to build. These lions are no exception to that.

All S.Os welcome!!! I HIGHLY support same gender pairings, so please don't be shy. If you do not like the same gender pairings, then don't join. It's simple as that.

I don't care if your character cusses. Just star out the vowels... this is a children's site after all...

Pertaining to the general thread:

One PARAGRAPH (not sentence) PER POST! This means 5 to 8 WELL WRITTEN sentences MUST be in EVERY post.
That said, I understand writer's block... but PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do not make a habit of it.
I also expect proper spelling and grammar as well. I understand an error here and there... but much like with writer's block; don't make a habit of it.

Please be respectful when talking to each other in OOC.

Please do not join then never post. It slows down the rp, messes everyone else up, makes me loose track of characters, and just makes the thread look sloppy.

If you have an explicit scene, fade to black, time skip... or take it over P.M... not everyone wants to read about two characters exploring each other... plus this is a kid friendly site... so I don't want anyone to get into trouble.

When posting here please make sure your post is in a large font. I am going blind and the smaller the font is, the harder it is for me to read.

NO SOLID OOC POSTS! I do not want to see any pure OOC posts here on this thread. It simply creates spam and spam creates clutter. Clutter creates a messy thread and a messy thread just means more work for me to keep the thread up to date.
The only exception to this is a bump here and there... That is it!

We all know the story of the trials King Simba went through... We also know how Princess Kiara and her soul-mate Kovu united the two prides... but what we don't know is how it all began. We do not know why Taka, aka Scar, Zira and Mufasa were the way they were... we do not know of the events that molded and shaped them into the being we know of now...



Welcome to the Pridelands... Many years ago, two rogues settle in this vast land and started a pride of their own. now their grand daughter Uru rules the land. She had taken a male lion by the name Ahdi as her mate and together the two bore two cubs. The names of these cubs were Mufsa and Taka.

The Pridelands are still fairly new... the "Outlands" have not been named so yet and are still lush and green. The "Elephant graveyard" has not been named so yet either... it is not a barren wasteland full of bones yet, but it is quickly becoming so... it is also not inhabited by hyenas yet.

We begin out tale after Taka and Mufasa's Presentation Ceremony.. Now perhaps we will see where things took a turn for the worst... Let us begin, shall we?

She's kinda snobby... and stubborn. She loves to hunt... and all the same, she is loyal. She also has a bit of a dark side and can have a bit of a temper.

Looks:
Uru is a lengthy lioness. Where height is concerned, she is just a bit shorter than the average lioness, and a bit longer. Her length makes her more agile and promotes more speed when running which comes in handy when hunting. Her pelt is a deep chocolate brown with a slightly lighter brown on her underside and paws. Her eyes are a light blue-green. The tuft on her tail is black. On the rim of each of her ears is a black streak. She also has black around her eyes (in the same "eyeshadow" pattern as the out-land lions), a black nose and a streak (like Zira's) that runs from her forehead down her back and to the tuft of her tail.

The early rays of morning hadn't even begun to rise, yet the sound of animals could be heard moving through out the Pridelands. They were all headed to one place. A large rocky structure that stood tall and majestic in the heart of the land. A light breeze rolled through the land carrying with it flower petals and small blades of grass. Some of the animals had traveled through the night to reach their destination. As the crowd drew near, a female mandril slowly approached the tip of the run-way like rock. A dark colored lioness and her mate walked behind the mandril, a small bundle of fur hanging from their mouths.
The sun's rays finally began to turn the sky into an almost enchanting scarlet as the great circle began it's ascent into the sky. The crowd of animals swarmed around Pride Rock, all of them completely still and silent. As the sky began to gain a purple tinge the mandril dipped two fingers on one hand into a fruit she'd cracked open and took the larger of the two cubs with the other hand. Silently she marked the cub's forehead before turning around and holding him up for all to see.
All the animals cheered and stomped their hooves or feet or flapped their wings in joy as the young prince was shown. The mandril smiled, gave the cub back to it's mother and repeated the same process with the smaller, and darker, of the two cubs.
The dark colored lioness smiled as she watched and noticed everyone who had shown up for her sons' Presentation Ceremony. Her light colored eyes glittered with pride and joy.

Now several weeks had passed. Uru, the dark pelted lioness, sat at the edge of Pride Rock, looking over the land. Her cubs were much bigger now. Big enough to run around, play, eat meat and what ever else they needed to learn before becoming juveniles. Her blue-green eyes watched intently as the great circle began to light up not only the sky, but her kingdom. Queen Uru smiled as she watched the shadowy cloak of night rise from her land. Her ears swiveled around slightly, picking up sounds of birds flying by and the snores that sometimes drifted from the den. She listened intently for the sounds of her cubs... or any others cubs that might wake up early.
