Fogmask had been battered all night but Sootrain's paws until he had finally pulled her close. The contact seemed to have calmed her, and he had finally fallen into a fitful sleep. He had woke at least an hour ago, but he hadn't bothered to move, not wanting to wake the distressed she-cat that curled against him. Instead he took the quiet to inspect her, memorizing how each hair fell, the light patterns of her coat that only showed when viewed from a certain angle, the serenity that claimed her face right that instance.
Copperwhisker watched, her tail twined with Darkcloud's as she mentally rooted for her daughter to stand.
Snakekit watched her sister with narrowed eyes before giving one firm push and standing stiff-legged. She didn't move, simply swayed in place, daring any cat around to say something, flashing the challenge with her bright blue eyes.
