Ravenclaw narrowed his eyes. "And do you know which kit?" he asked through clenched teeth. His eyes widened breifly as a sudden and terrible thought crossed his mind. For a horrifying second, he considered killing the kit so it wouldn't end up like Vipershade. He looked up at his father with hatred in his eyes. "Are you making me think like this?" He asked, his voice edged with terror.

[jarvis.]

"Duskkit," Jaywing mumbled licking a familiar looking she-kit's head. She chuckled and nudged the other she-kit's stump of a tail. "It seems as if she was born to resemble a rabbit dear," she giggled.

"I do." The shadowy tom smirked, "But I won't be telling you. I want this kit to live. It has an... interesting future in store." Vipershade purred, knowing that his son could do nothing about this.

Rabbitleap frowned and grumbled, "Starclan has a wicked sense of humor." He curled about his mate, resting his chin on her side so he could gaze at the kits.

"Its a nest, not my nest. I haven't laid a claim. Now take it." The white warrior had already started scraping another depression out, closer to the entrance.

The tiny kit's paw spasmed once more and she shoved her sister over, battering her mother's belly and opening her tiny pink mouth, showing no signs of teeth.

"She's still beautiful," Jaywing asked as the little tom began to suckle. His gray body was adorned with lighter grey flecks and his paws beat the ground playfully. "Names?"

She blinked softly, "Do you wish to share it?" She asked quietly as she settled down shakingly. Her body still felt numb from the events of this past week.

Hollyflower padded toward the warrior den, laying down and sighing deeply. "So many cats are getting mates, kits. And just look at me..." she muttered, before gazing up at the stars through small holes in the roof of the den. "StarClan, is this my punishment for Duskkit's death?"
