Sootrain licked softly at her paws, her eyes haunted showing she was still shaken after she and Darkcloud had fought off the fox that attacked Aspenfang's kits. She trembled, if they hadn't gotten there in time those kits could have been killed. Again she shivered.

Darkcloud stood calm, watching over the camp calmly, his pelt was still a bit ragged and a clump hadb een torn where the fox had gotten a snag on him and his leg had a cut on it as well but he still looked, normal, calm.

Minnowsplash peeked cautiously into the nursery, checking on both Mousekit and Brackenkit before slipping away. She noticed Sootrain and padded towards her. "Sootrain?" she asked, noticing that the she-cat was trembling

[float away.]

((I felt the need for a change. xD I would also like to point out that my cats seem to be the only ones with a problem with Rockpath. xD Fogmask hates her and Fleetpaw is petrified of her. ))

A familiar scruffy tabby made his way over to Sootrain, a mouse dangling in his jaws. Dropping the limp creature at her paws, he simply raised an eyebrow. Goosecall wasn't the best with words, and instead opted to show his concern through subtle actions.

More hobbling than walking, Copperwhisker grimaced as her swollen stomach moved gently from side to side as she made her way over to Darkcloud. Grunting slightly as she felt a stir within, she butted her head against the tom's shoulder. "Hey there my heart." She purred, giving his cheek a lick.

Minnowsplash dipped her head to Goosecall. She smiled slightly.What do you know? Goosecall is actually a very caring cat. The dappled warrior turned back to Sootrain, her worried expression returning.

Sootrain flinched softly as they approached her and did her best to smile, "Hey guys." She said as she rose into a sitting position, curling her fluffy ashy grey tail with the white tip over her tiny white paws.

Darkcloud did his best to hide a chuckle as he watched his mate struggle to even walk over to him, "What are you doing love? You should be resting inside with Jaywing while Suncloud and Aspenfang fuss over you two." He chuckled. Though he wasn't surprised about Aspenfang, she was still a bit tempered with her two young kits.

Minnowsplash licked Sootrain's shoulder, hoping to comfort her. She was aware that the she-cat had witnessed the fox attack. "Are yoy doing alright?" she stammered. She mentally smacked herself, of course she wasn't alright.

Jaywing sneezed in the nursery.

She nodded softly, obviously lying, "Yes. Are Brackenkit and Mousekit alright?" She asked. She'd stayed away from the nursery after hearing Aspenfang more than once ranting on her kits.

Mousekit turned and made her way towards Jaywing, ears pinned, "Are you mad at me too Jaywing?" She whimpered quietly.

Minnowsplash smiled. Sootrain was so kind. Her eyes softened as she smiled, "Terrified, but fine." She dipped her head, "You're a hero you know."

Jaywing shook her head and licked Mousekit's head gently. "Not angry, just worried sick," she purred softly in a comforting tone.

((So I'm herp-derping and can't remember who is playing Copperwhisker and Darkcloud's third kit... Anyone? x3))
Rolling her amber eyes, she jabbed Darkcloud with her shoulder and huffed, "I'm allowed to walk... waddle out of the den once and a while. Especially when I want to see my hero." She pressed her nose to his ear and sighed contently. Murmuring, "I'm really proud of you. Our kits are going to have the most wonderful father to look up to and care for them." Grimacing again as the little things seemed to squirm about inside her, she gritted her teeth. Just a few moons ago she had believed that pregnancy would be the most wonderful thing in the world. How she had been so wrong. Copperwhisker had a glow about her that she hadn't had before, but the prissy she-cat had been a foul mood ever since discovering she couldn't completely groom everywhere any longer.

Goosecall sat down next to the small she-cat, their pelts barely brushing as he settled there. He had gotten better with his space issues, at least as fair as Sootrain and Minnowsplash were concerned. Any other cat would be greeted with a swift reprimand and a cuff to the head. "You shouldn't lie." His voice held no accusation, just a simple statement. Flicking his tail tip, he shrugged indifferently.

Rabbitleap squeezed in the nursery, making a face as he was assaulted by the smell of kits, milk, and various other 'queen' scents. It didn't smell bad, it was just strong. He tiptoed through the nest before settling behind Jaywing, curling around her small figure. "You should be proud of me, braving the beasts and dangers that lie within here."

Sootrain ducked her head and for the first time, the tiny knick could be seen in her right ear and the small gash that ran down the back of her neck with what looked like teeth indention could be seen, "Darkcloud managed to throw it off, I tried to get the kits out of the way." She smiled at Goosecall and felt that same tiny flutter deep within her stomach but swiftly shooed it off.

Mousekit purred softly at that, "Momma's furious." She whispered. but isntantly started backing off as Rabbitleap came in.

Darkcloud purred softly, mostly with amusement as he noted some of the tangles in hsi mates normally flawless golden pelt. Gently he began to softly lick and pick at those tangles and knots as well as some moss stuck in a few spots on her back. "My prissy lil she" He teased softly.
