"Well, the rabbits just sprang out. I was so startled, so I leaped for what was closest to me," Heronpaw protested, trying to defend his pride. "Nobody will know about this," he begged Wildpaw.

Cinderfoot padded through a bush and into the clearing with Wildpaw and Heronpaw, carrying a mouse. "Oh. Hello." He said, staring at the apprentices. "Sorry...am I interrupting something?"

"Nobody will know. Now lets get you to the medicine den." She whispered, but then Cinderfoot came through. "Not at all. You can help me walk Heronpaw to the medicine den."

[jarvis.]

Heronpaw pricked his ears and groaned, "Oh geez. I really can't see through this eye." He gulped and mewed, "We just found a family of rabbits. One of them got me in the eye." He nodded towards Wildpaw, "Thanks."
