Evoke watched her leave before sighing and laying his head down on his paws. He thought to himself before hearing crying not too far away. Curious, he lifted his head up, feeling his ears twitch.
"I was a child and she was a child, In this kingdom by the sea, But we loved with a love that was more than love— I and my Annabel Lee— With a love that the wingèd seraphs of Heaven Coveted her and me."
Ekaterina tried to stop crying, but the tears wouldn't stop. Her breathing was quick, and she panted a little. She hoped no one was hearing her, but she knew that someone was bound to notice. She squeezed her blue eyes shut, and began to breath a little easier, as she forced herself to stop.
Evoke stood up, and curiously walked over towards the sound where he heard the crying. Suprisingly, he found himself walk towards Ekaterina's den. He raised a brow before sitting down in front of the entrance. He then barked softly to let her know he was there. "Ekaterina? What... What's the matter?" He asked.
"I was a child and she was a child, In this kingdom by the sea, But we loved with a love that was more than love— I and my Annabel Lee— With a love that the wingèd seraphs of Heaven Coveted her and me."
Ekaterina perked her ears, startled by Evoke. "Oh, uh, nothing," she said, sniffling back a sob. She walked up to the entrance of her den, standing in front of the large brute. Her head hung, as she didn't want him to see she'd been crying. "What do you need?"
Evoke shook his head. "Nothing. I was just checking on you... I heard something... Different over here." he said.
"I was a child and she was a child, In this kingdom by the sea, But we loved with a love that was more than love— I and my Annabel Lee— With a love that the wingèd seraphs of Heaven Coveted her and me."
"I'm fine," Ekaterina said in a quiet voice, knowing that if she tried to speak normally, she'd start crying again. She wouldn't cry in front of Evoke--or anyone for that matter.
Evoke nodded, though he could tell she was holding something back. "Alright. If you need me, I will be in my den." he said before getting up.
"I was a child and she was a child, In this kingdom by the sea, But we loved with a love that was more than love— I and my Annabel Lee— With a love that the wingèd seraphs of Heaven Coveted her and me."
"Thanks," she said, nodding her head to him slightly.
Black led Splash to camp, and moved to the side so that she could see everything. There weren't really all that many wolves around, but there was enough.
