He is crushing on no-one

I look towards the horizon, and shake my mane and tail. At that moment, an answering call cuts through the air, high and clear. It's no mistaking it - the voice of a female, and seemingly no too far away - the answer seems to be coming from a denser part of the forest - a pocket of trees towards my right, just at the base of the next mountain. About... 800 metres? As the crow flies? I snort, and rear up again, neighing again, facing the direction the answer came from. But this time the neigh is lower, more inviting, more curious. I take one last look towards the pocket of trees, then trot away from the edge of the overhang, running down the mountainside towards... well, I don't know what I'm heading towards. I'll just have to wait and see.

Regina threw her head up and let out and answering whinny as she thought Aha! So that's where it came from! She ran towards the sound and found herself face to face with a large slope. She started walking up it, taking in all the sights. It's so pretty. She thought as she stopped to sniff a flower. She continued at a slow but steady trot of the sleep slope.

Siren

Was it a good idea to pursue a strange stallion? Didn't seem like it, but Siren was a very curious little thing and was interested in at least getting a look at the equid in question. "Sure. I'll tag along," she gave a reply, a frequently look upon her face. She started to trot down the rock outcrop they had taken to after the mountain lion scare when the reply came.

This time Siren wasn't caught by surprise so she was able to pinpoint the direction from which the sound came from. "They are up on the mountainside," Siren said aloud to Regina who coincidentally had already turned that way, turning to trot off at her leisure. The answer seemed much more inviting and not as spine chilling, so it peaked the mare's curiosity. However, if faced with the stallion she would probably find her tongue tied; in general very awkward around strangers. Regina found Siren when she was fleeing a predator, so she had no choice but to confide in the mare. However no mountain lion was on her tail this time, giving way to her timid side with strangers.

Drachmë

Drachmë stopped walking when he heard a loud whinny and then a response a ways ahead of him. He hesitated for a moment before breaking into a canter and striding up the last part of the rise, stopping at the top to see what appeared to be another stallion's long tail disappearing into the tree's on the crest of the next hill. Curious, he whinnied, a curious but powerful sound that told the stranger that he was healthy a fighting-fit but not aggressive. Not waiting for a reply, he trotted forward enegetically, cantering up the next bank, and disappearing into the tree's where he'd last seen the stallion.

Lyra was sniffing at the grass, but nothing seemed satisfying now. She glanced around the wide, golden-green fields and sighed. Life was the same always. Boring and unpleasant. She seemed kind of annoyed, but she was actually sad she didn't have more of an adventure. She twitched her ears, clearly wanting to hear something or someone. Anything would be more fun right now, even a predator. Not that she wanted to die or feel pain, but st least she'd be doing something more than sitting there staring at nothing and waiting for dust to collect on her pelt. She shook out her pelt, just in case. She glanced at her coat. In the sunlight, her coat was fiery and shiny. Luminous and nearly like flames eating her up. She smiled. At least her pelt was interesting, even if her life wasn't.

The young stallion looked around the vast, golden meadow his golden eyes scanning for some excitement. His long tail swished in a slight breeze as he caught a glance of Lyra. Feeling confidante Jedi trotted up to her, a smug look on his face. His eyes flashed before he he said his voice confidante, Hey! I couldn't help but notice you and well you seem like you like a good time. I`m Jedi by the way. Jedi didn't think that he might scare Lyra, he really just wanted someone to be around for a bit. He smiled charmingly at Lyra, the wind whipping his mane.

I hear a neigh behind me and wheel around, stopping dead-still while I process what I've heard. A stallion. Definitely. But not a rival. I see the flicker of a striped coat between the trees, and I instantly figure out how tall the stallion is. Much taller. But that doesn't mean I can't outmatch him in a fight...

I neigh to the stallion, still yet to show himself. A low neigh, not threatening, but with an undertone that says "Don't try anything funny, I'm watching you." I snort, and lower my head, watching the trees, waiting for the stallion to show himself. Really, I don't mind stallions, but some are so overly confident that they need a good strong kick to bring them back to earth. And others are so centered on mares and showing off - you just ache to rip out their silver tongues and chase their greedy hooves away from the girls. I must admit, I do use the odd charming smile every now and again - but not to that extent. I warily watch the trees, a cunning smile forming on my lips, and thoughts echo in my head. You're not chasing me, you know. You're not hiding from me either, stallion. I'm here, and I'm quite prepared. So just come out and get on with it.

Regina kept jogged up the high slope when she heard another call. "Another one!" She said aloud to Siren an She saw and picked up her pace. She saw Kirian and whinnied, "Hello!" She said some behind him. She was only 2 and naive. She had yet to meet an aggressive equid and had no idea what the dangers could be.

The sound of a second neigh made the mare a bit more nervous. Siren was a proper gal and knew her place as a mare, and that stallions made herds and they were generally agressive to obtain that. Being in unclaimed land made it all the more dangerous to be running willy nilly after a pair of them. Unlike Regina the painted Equid hung back in the cover of trees, her contrasting dark and light coat not doing much to hide her but she had that elusive look in her eye. Siren danced between the trees, trying to scope out these stallions before making an approach. Her signature air of mystery shrouded the alluring mare as she hesitantly stepped forward, making sure to hold herself regally. I know you're stallions but I'm just as capable of being independent as you, she thought, cocking her head to the side. She was enticing and very feminine yet her mental strength beamed from her core, allowing anyone to know she was not to be trifled with. Now siren wasnt much of a flirt, so she was hoping the stallions would show some decency and not itch to corral her into a herd.

Lyra perked her ears, but something, rather someone was blocking her view. She could hear whinneys and neighs from others in the distance, and Lyra felt a longing to join them. Completely ignoring the stallion because she didn't realize he was there, she stepped forward, alert and ready to pound with glee. She lifted her long, fluffy tail and sent it whipping in the air. Only when she slapped the stallion's face did she notice him. She turned around, her jaw wide open, her face blushing red as could be. Of course it was hidden though. "I'm sorry!" She stammered. "H-How long have you been there?" She let out a small, almost hysterical laugh, not believing her own eyes. How long had that stallion been there? And did he say anything? Lyra was too deep in thought to have heard him, and now she felt her cheeks grow hot with embarrassment.
