Witherstar headed back into the darkness, he glanced back at cougarclaw

Cougarclaw looked at Witherstar as he walked back into the darkness, then it seemed as he himself was engulfed in darkness. He blinked open his eyes and looked around, then quickly realized that he was back at Moonpool, laying beside the water with Dawnblaze not far away.

Dawnblaze opened her eyes and smiled at Cougarstar, then motioned him away with a flick of her tail, indicating that they should leave the cavern and head back towards camp. "Congratulations Cougarstar." She said softly, but in a tone that indicated that she was happy. "The clan will be waiting. Let's head back."

Cougarstar nodded to Dawnblaze with a smile though he still felt a bit weak from gaining his lives. "Thank you, Dawnblaze." He told her

Dawnblaze smiled again but didn't respond. She took in a breath of fresh air once they were out of the cramped space, then moved over to make room for Cougarstar to get out.

Cougarstar followed Dawnblaze out of the tunnel and took a deep breath of the fresh air. He sighed, wondering about what the clans would think and say when he came back as their leader. But, he lifted his head and tail, standing proudly as the new leader of Phantomclan. He looked at Dawnblaze "Let's go." He said and began heading back to camp.

Dawnblaze followed beside Cougarstar. She didn't say much; she was pretty quiet most of the time anyways, and now she had a lot on her mind. She knew that Starclan would not have made Cougarclaw into Cougarstar if they did not think he could handle it. Still... She wondered whether he would make a good leader. She hoped that he would, and that perhaps he had learned something from the battle, and then the process of getting his lives. One thing she knew for sure was that many cats would not approve of him being the leader. No matter what happened she would stand by his side and see things through, and hopefully everything would turn out alright.

After walking in silence for a while Cougarstar finally saw the entrance to camp. He sighed and padded into camp and looked around.
