Scarlett and Daggertail sneaked over to where Fang and the rest were standing, "What are we going to do with the silly lookin' costumes boss?" asked Daggertail pawing her dagger.


Abbess Sunflowet sat speaking with the newcomers, "Where do you come from?" she asked as she sipped her mint tea.

Kiota laughed a very sinister laugh, "We are going to capture some slaves of course!" She shot her paws up high over her head.

Blacktip looked around, "Where are we gonna go, boss? I don't remember any young woodlanders around here..."

Kitewing again answered for his family as they sat with the Abbess saying, "We came from the far into Mossflower wood, near the flatland border. I had heard about Redwall Abbey many times from other travelers and wanted to see this great place with my family."

[Colonel Sarcasm]

"Ah well you are welcome to stay as long as you like, there are two nice bedrooms upstairs next to the Dibbuns' dormitories. You may have a beaker of tea if you like", replied Sunflower.

Nodding at Blacktip, Daggertail said, "I agree, where are we going to go? Redwall Abbey or somethin'?"

Rosethorn spoke up for the first time saying, "We appreciate your offer, Abbess Sunflower. And tea would be lovely." Kitewing nodded in agreement, but Shade shook his head saying, "No thank you, I'm not a lover of tea. However, I have heard that you had something called strawberry cordial. Might I have some of that, please?"

[Colonel Sarcasm]

"Of course, Olive...", she nodded at the otter. Olive went down to the kitchen and brought some mint tea, strawberry cordial and strawberry cream tarts, "Felix made a bunch of them strawberry cream tarts, but then I can't blame him because they are deliscious" She helped herself to a tart and walked down stairs to help with the feast preparations, "Hey you Dibbuns why don't you go get some flowers to give to the Abbess, maybe she'll give ya a special treat!" said Olive to keep the Dibbuns' busy.

"How has been life on the other side of Mossflower? I haven't been there in seasons! Oh and I prefer you call me Abbess or Mother, we have our ways here at Redwall" said Sunflower

Shade beamed as he accepted his beaker of cordial saying, "Thank you." Kitewing accepted his beaker, nodding to his mate to let her do the talking for a bit. Rosethorn explained, "Times have been good to us. We have seen few travelers along the road and vermin give our home a wide berth. We live a good life there, but not without it's share of hardships of course." Shade giggled slightly into his drink as he slurped the cordial. He muttered, "Sorry." and continued sipping more quietly.

[Colonel Sarcasm]

"I believe Felix is just about done, let's go to the kitchen and see how things are going!," replied Sunflower and walked towards the kitchens.

Scarlet looked at Kiota, then at Daggertail, "As if they'd let a fox and bunch of ferrets, rats, and stoats right into the Abbey, and if we do get in what do we do, just grab some of them and run off? And if we even get the slaves what do we do with them?"

Kitewing stood with Rosethorn and followed the Abbess. Shade however, was fully engrossed in the activity of draining the beaker of every drop of strawberry cordial and didn't see them get up.
