"Pebblekit... Pebblekit!" Mistberry called after the smaller kit, but realized chasing after him would only make it worse. She would have done the same given his situation, but it simply wasn't safe for him to be on his own. She got up to go after him, but looked back once more to confront the cats who had caused him so much confusion. "All of you should be ashamed of yourselves! Your kits have done nothing to deserve this! How can you even suggest having more kits when you can't care for the kits who need you?!" Mistberry meowed to the cats behind her, as she walked out of camp to find Pebblekit.. "You are the greedy ones! But instead of putting aside your own desires and heartbreaks to help your kits, you continue persuing your own dreams, even if your kits are left with no one to care for them!" Mistberry yowled behind her to the adult cats.
She disappeared through the camp entrance and walked slowly, not wanting Pebblekit to run away farther. "It's alright, Pebblekit... I won't make you go back to camp yet. But it isn't safe for you to be alone." Mistberry meowed softly. She knew she was breaking the clan rules, but Pebblekit needed the time alone. There was nothing she could say to ease his pain, nor would it be good for him to hear it. She knew being silent would help him more than anything.

"Has Flightfur taken you training yet?" Willowpaw asked Duckpaw curiously.

Duckpaw shook his head. "I only view the territory." He plopped down and buried his face into his paws.

He shivered, watching Mistberry walk past him. He closed his eyes tightly. Crying silently. His fur wet from the dew. He wanted to be a good cat hut how? He couldn't do it.

"Pebblekit?" Mistberry called out softly, padding around the forest. "Pebblekit, where are you?" She asked in a hushed voice.

Duckpaw shook his head. "I only view the territory." He plopped down and buried his face into his paws.

"Well, that's more than I've seen!" Willowpaw mewed. "What was it like? I can't wait to see it! How big was it? Did you run into any foxes? Or maybe another clan's patrol?" SHe meowed in excitement.

Duckpaw smiled. "It was actually kinda boring...Flightfur made some of it sound weird because he was kinda getting all emotional when we got to some place. But it was normal, no foxes or other clan patrols sadly." He sighed; he wished that he did run into other clan patrols or foxes.
