Stonefur purred with contentment, pleased with the mentor choices that Drizzlestar made for his niece and nephew. 'I know they will train them to be great warriors.' he thought happily. He followed Splashpool to the warriors den, giving the new warrior a congratulatory lick before lying down for the night

Luckypaw and Maplepaw made their way to the apprentice den, tired from the long day but excited for what tomorrow will bring

The next morning.

"Stonefur. You should start the dawn patrol and make a hunting patrol"

I noted the confused looks on the twins' faces ... apparently they're completely lost on the whole 'mentorship' deal. I watched as they made their way over to their apprentices, looking nervous. Well, Noir looked more cynical than nervous, but one look on Twill's face had my thoughts flying to thyme. I curled my paw around the herb, having found my way blindly over to the piles of herbs, and walked over to the distressed she-cat. "Eat this," I murmured soothingly, then set it down and backed up. Frowning, Twill obeyed, but glanced over at Otterpaw with unease. Noir blinked once at Maplepaw and said nothing. I sighed, and disappeared into my den, preparing a multitude of herbs. Tonight would be a long one, indeed.

Tera walked to her place to sleep

Nightclaw walked out the warrior den.

"splashpool can you come with me."

Stonefur nodded to his leader. "Alright. I will take Noir, Maplepaw, and Nightclaw with me on this mornings hunt." He called, waiting for his fellow warriors to gather before they left.

As I heard my name called, I flinched, both mentally and physically. Twill shuddered beside me. We were to be separated. My sister turned her wide eyes onto me, searching and desperate, before I shook my head and padded after Stonefur. Twill keened quietly behind me, although part of me scoffed at her dramatic display. it was only a patrol. But then ... these cats were unfamiliar to us, aside from the compassionate medicine cat we spent that one dark moon with. Part of me trusted her, part of me didn't. I glanced warily at Stonefur. "Where are we going?"
