"That's still no reason for you to be 'put away" Swiftpaw mewed to Rainypaw as he pressed against her side comfortingly.

Rainypaw shivered, feeling his side touch her's. She pulled away. She couldn't handle it. She... She just couldn't. "What will happen to me? What else would they do." She shut her eyes. When her mother and siblings died, she had not cried. She had frozen with shock and emotion. She shut it all away. She kept her secrets as her life began to mold afterwards. She finally shed a single tear. "I'm scared, Swiftpaw. I always have been." She whispered.

Swiftpaw looked at Rainypaw with concern in his eyes. He looked down, not sure what to say. After a moment he looked back up at Rainypaw. "You don't have to be scared" he murmured with comfort in his eyes this time.

Rainypaw ppursed her lips. "I know." That little bit of emotion she let slip through, was now gone. She looked away and straighted. Her rainy day expression was back. "Swiftpaw... I need you to promise me." She whispered in his ear, trying to keep it all from flowing out.
