Relaxing in the sun was the dark fox, Xaph. A slight breeze swept downwind and carried his scent with it. He was basking in the warmth of the sun and still thinking of his family. His brother, the prodigal son and one who was so full of himself that it wound up biting him in the butt. His sister, the princess to the throne of the family. A female whose bark, was bigger than her bite. Both of them wound up dead, eaten by predators that found them to be off guard while other remain alert. Xaph took a breath in and let it out slow. While laying there, relaxing in the quiet forest until that weary noise. A simple break of a twig. He was up in an instant looking around, sniffing out a scent. It was hard and quite faint, but he found a light scent. A female, downwind not too far off. Xaph lowered his head and was soon laying down again. " I don't care who you are, I want to be alone." He stated so that she could hear. His tone was rather depressing and low. He didn't exactly know where she was, but he knew that she was just downwind. He continued to lay there without a care in the world, minus the thoughts of his family.

I scent a new scent, a fox. I growl slightly as I follow the scent. "Who are you?" I ask him when I could see him but he couldn't see me.

Shadowstep padded up with Phantompaw in tow, his cheeryness raidiated from his pelt "hello slitpaw, Lightshadow" he mewed "i thought id invite Phantompaw to do a bit of hunting with us" he replyed. His tail tapped Phantompaw "try to make some friends" he mewed quietly "they'll like you once they get to know you" he said with a friendly smile "Now who's up for catching some prey!"

Foxclaw sighed growing bored of Waiting on Redfur decided to take a mouse from the fresh kill pile, taking it close to the warriors den she ate with delicate bites. Her deep green gaze trailed around the camp watching others mingle and leave or come home from patrolls.

Rissa layed her head on her paws, with a rather unhappy sigh "wonder when we get to go out?" she yawned befor she stood up to streach, she towered a good hight above the cats.

"Thats OK he's hunting with us I don't mind." I say smiling despite my icky feeling about being the only she-cat. I smile as I look at all of them in turn. I shrink back a little as I look at Shadowstep, I maybe, sort of liked him.

Hawkclaw smiled and bounded out with her patrol, making sure not to keep them waiting too long as she set a fast pace toward the stream, ears perked as she made sure to keep an eye out for any prey that she might find along the way, and sure enough out shot a shrew from under some leaves, and she was quick to give chase, her attention span a bit short, as she quickly focused only on the shrew. Though she was fast, the shrew had the lead, and quickly disappeared again "Mousedung!" she pouted a bit as she couldn't help but paw at the leaves on the ground, though to no avail, as she couldn't re-find her shrew, before realizing that she was still leading the patrol, she turned around, her fur hot with embarrassment at this.

Lilyheart's heart nearly stopped as she heard him talking to her, and was about to walk out to greet him regardless before she heard somebody else. Her ears perked she remained hidden, hoping this new creature wouldn't recognize that there were two fox's instead of one, and she prayed that this newcomer wouldn't be too aggressive toward the fox she had so hoped to make her new friend. She laid down, watching, not wanting to scare off either of the two, her tail twitching a bit as she waited for the stranger to reveal themselves.

Tunepaw padded into the camp, caring the herbs. Sigh. She felt lonely today. No fun. To battle training. No hunting. In that way... being a medicine cat was boring!

Ashwing padded out of the warrior den, gasping. "Mouse-dung! I overslept again!" He growled in frustration. How was he to explain that to the older warriors...

Blizzardstar chuckeled to herself while she ran accross the branches of a tall maple tree. she had a wonderful plan. gradually she stalked closer to her prey, and she thought 'this is going to be great!' she knew what she was going to do she just hoped her prey didn't.

Backstory: After having to relocate many times, her old clan was mostly killed by badgers. The ones who survived were forced to leave and find new homes. Some became kittypets or rogues, and others died from infection. Her and Firepaw were found by a Shardclan patrol, and were then lucky enough to join their Clan (They're new; they've been there for less then a moon). On the way there her and Firepaw had found another clan and where taken in, only to be driven out later. The clan had taken them in because thy faced attack from another enemy and need as many warriors as possible to drive it out. Once the battle was over they began to see Longstripe and Firepaw as a burden rather than a help and planned to kill them. Overhearing this plan, They managed to escape in the end, and shortly later found Shardclan.
