Cougarclaw sighed and sat beside Longstripe. "They're really holding it together." he commented looking at the clan cats. "When we lost our territory we thought all hope was lost. But then again, none of the other clans would let us stay with them." he told her

Longstripe nodded at Cougarclaw's remark. "Yes, they really are. I'm proud of them. When my old clan faced the loss of our territory, everyone split up. Of course, there was more to it then just that, but still. It was crazy. And I'm sorry to hear that. No offense intended, as I know it's not easy to lose your territory, but it sounds like you're better off without the other clans if they wouldn't let you stay with them. And thanks again for letting us stay with you. We really do appreciate it."

Cougarclaw nodded "I believe we're better off without them too, they were always trying to find a reason to to kick us off of our land, and they finally got one. And of course, its the right thing to do. In hard times its better to all come together than all split apart." he told Longstripe

Longstripe nodded. "Exactly. If you can't expect to be able to come together, you're better off to live alone. Why bother living near someone, risking your safety in times of battles, sharing prey which crosses over the border, and all around risking your health to live near someone if they're just going to turn their backs on you in your time of need?"

Cougarclaw nodded "Yes, and now that we live here we don't fear for our well being or safety as much. Although, if those two-legs cross the river then we might have too." he told Longstripe as he gazed across the river at the large two-leg machines.

"I'm glad you don't have to worry as much. And I doubt that. The river would be too difficult to cross for them, I'd imagine. Can you imagine those big clunky monsters trying to swim across that? They'd drown." Longstripe said with a small smile as she imagined it in her mind.

Cougarclaw chuckled "Yes, i suppose your right." he told Longstripe.

Cougarclaw pricked his ears curiously and looked around before looking at Longstripe. "Is one of your clanmates injured?" he asked her as he scented blood. It was faint, but enough to smell.

Snowstripe sat down, looking around with a small sigh.

Redfur flicked his tail to and fro boredly, peering around the forest.

Longstripe leaped to her paws and approached Tornpaw in a hurry. "What happened"?" she asked, walking around him to examine his wounds. "Snowstripe!" she called, seeing that the medicine was within hearing range.
