Sorrelfang shook her head "No, of course i don't hate you. But what you said did hurt and i just wanted to give you a bit of space because i didn't think you wanted me around and i didn't want to annoy you. But, it hurt even more when you left. I didn't want to talk to anybody, i laid alone in camp and wandered around the territory. I wasn't mad, just sad Darkpaw. But after i saw you near the border, i felt more happy than i did in a long time and more happy than anyone could ever make me. I feel like that every time i see you.." she told him, then looked down at her paws again, hoping he believed her,and if he didn't, afraid of what he would say

"None of us were happy to see you leave, Darkpaw. Especially not me. I never want you to leave, and even if you do leave, i'd go with you. Because i never want to be without you again.." Sorrelfang told him

Sorrelfang sighed "Cougarclaw has been like a father to me every since my parents died, and i'll never forget him. But no, i would not stay with him. He's taken care of me and i'll always hold him close to my heart. But, Darkpaw, i hold you closer now." she told him with a slight smile, waiting for his response.

Sorrelfang stood up "Darkpaw, i have tried everything to get you to believe me. Never once have i ever lied to you or betrayed you! And i can't understand why you keep pushing me away.. The only thing i wanted to be when i grew up was to become the best warrior in the clan. Then i met you and you changed all that. I wanted a mate and have kits, but Darkpaw you keep pushing me away every time i try to help you. I keep coming back to you when other she-cats would have already given up and left. But i love you, Darkpaw so i can't help myself." she said as tears began to stream down her face and she couldn't finish what she was saying. She laid down and covered her face. All she wanted was for him to believe her and love her like she did him. She wanted to feel his fur beside hers and tell it was going to be ok, because right now she felt so lost and alone.

Sorrelfang looked up at Darkpaw tears still falling from her muzzle "Do you really mean it? Or are you just saying that to make me feel better?" she asked him, knowing that he might think that she is still lying, even though she never has lied to him.

Sorrelfang saw he looked unsure as he laid down beside her. "You can tell me the truth, Darkpaw." She told him trying to stop her tears from falling anymore.

Sorrelfang stood up and looked at Darkpaw "I can tell when your lying to me and when your telling the truth, Darkpaw." she said hurt and turned and ran into the trees.

Sorrelfang stopped when after walking for a short while. Now she knew the truth, he really didn't care. He seemed so happy to see her after he had left but it had all been a lie. And she was tried of being lied to. She shook out her pelt and sighed. "I guess its time to move on. Darkpaw doesn't care, if he did he wouldn't be lying to me. So, if he finds out later that he misses me, he can come find me. Because i'm done trailing after him and making sure he's ok." she said sadly and hurt but with determination as well.

Cougarclaw watched Darkpaw then stood up and walked over to him. "Come, now its our turn to talk." He flicked his tail for him to follow as he began walking beside the river.

Cougarclaw sighed "Its seems we are not the only ones to have our differences, hmm?" he said to Darkpaw
