Damon looked at Starnight with soft eyes "I'm sorry to hear that." he told her thinking of his own mother.

Starnight lifts her head up and shakes it quickly and then looked at Damon, "why? Why didn't you attack me when you had the chance? Why didn't you chase me off? Every animal I have found out here has either ran from me or chased me off.."

"Because i know what its like to have nothing and nobody caring for you." Damon told Starnight, which wasn't the only reason he didn't chase her off, but it wasn't a lie.

Starnight's eyes perk a little, "thank you... At least I know the world isn't all bad..." She looks down and lays her head down, getting a little closer to Damon, " what about you? What brings you here? What's your name" she asks, looks up at Damon, and then looks towards Redfur, "and who is that?"

Damon looks at Redfur then back at Starnight "That is Redfur, he's a pretty cool cat." Damon told her "I'm Damon, and i came here after i lost my family. My mother was a husky loner and my father was a wolf who lived with a pack. My mother had me and my brother's and sister's and my father visited us everyday, but when his leader found out about us, he killed my mother and my siblings. My father took care of me for a little while but decided that his pack was more important than his son. So, he left me and i wandered off on my own." he told her sadly and lay down with his head on his paws.

Firepaw couldn't help but butt in; "I'm Firepaw!" he said enthusiastically.
Longstripe walked over and cuffed him over the ear with a paw.
"Leave them alone!" She said briskly, shuffling him away and shooting an apologetic look towards Damon and Starnight. "Sorry about him. He's just excited because nobody new has gotten here since us. "

Starnight places a sympathic paw by Damon's, "I'm so sorry..." She quickly looks at Firepaw and LongStripe and kinda smiles or what would be a smile for a wolf (lol) then looks back at Damon, "who knows, maybe we met for a reason, we relate in the loss of our family and loved ones and were found by cats... Maybe something greater is at work here..." She says, hoping that it would help Damon feel better.

Damon shook out his fur as if it would shake away his memories "Its ok" he told Longstripe then looked back at Starnight "Maybe" he agreed and smiled at her.
