Brightpaw nodded to the other apprentices as she followed Adderpaw and the others to the elder's den. She wasn't ecstatic about Adderpaw's attitude either but for all she knew he may actually lead all the apprentices. And it wasn't like he didn't have a right to be suspicious now that she thought about it, she realized that she would be skeptical as well in that same situation. So for now she decided she could let that go, and perhaps later after she proved she was now a loyal member of Sunclan he would believe her and welcome her more warmly. "So this elder you keep speaking of, Thorneye, you say she's nice?" she whispered to Solarpaw "Do you think she'll be nice to me too?"

DarkClaw

DarkClaw rested right infront of the nursery, her glossy black pelt looked as if the sun reflected it. She gave a yawn and looked around the camp. She felt lonely for some reason right now even if there were cats all around her. She shrugged,I guess its usually like this if i have to hang around here all day... She thought to herself. Then with that she cleaned her pelt.

Lilypaw

Lilypaw trotted behind Adderpaw in silence, lashing her tail as she walked. Thorneye is a.. mostly kind elder, surely she'll be kind to Brightpaw. Or at least I hope. She paused a moment to shake out her fur before pushing her way into the Elder's den behind Adderpaw. "Thorneye! We have a new apprentice!" She said joyfully.

Thorneye

A dark grey pelt lay curled up tightly in a fresh nest of fallen leaves. It shifted slowly before a green eye opened to gaze at the apprentices. A faint smile crossed the she-cats old muzzle, "Oh is that right?" She replied in a raspy voice. She gave a yawn before slowly shifting to see the incoming apprentices. She lashed her tail and licked her paw to draw it over her face, cleaning some of the dirt from her scarred eye.

FlareWoods

FlareWoods had been hunting all day, and soon he came back with a jawful of prey. The orange tom walked to the fresh-kill pile then set the prey down. After that he picked out a plump vole and a plump squirrel. He took the prey over to his sister, DarkClaw. He sat beside her and set the vole at her paws. "Here you go DarkClaw. I figured you were hungry but to lazy to get up." He teased.


DarkClaw

DarkClaw looked at the prey then at her brother. "Im not to lazy to walk to the fresh-kill pile but thanks." She replied as she sat up. She crouched down by her food and started gulping down the vole as FlareWoods gulped down the squirrel he had. At least someone visits me today. She thought to herself and looked around the clearing. She spotted BlackSplotch. She meowed loudly so he could hear her "Hey BlackSplotch come over and join us!"

BlackSplotch

The blind tom turned his gaze towards the voice, he recognized it as his sister then he replied joyfully "Of course!" He scented the air and followed the scent of the fresh kill pile. He thought he should bring something to the elders first before eating to be kind. He picked out the scent of a mouse and picked it up. Then he trotted towards the scent of the elders den.

Foxclaw unburried her thrush and mouse and scooped them up "Left go baft ta da capf" she mewed around her mouthful meaning to say lets go back to camp but it was all muffled. When her brother gave her a questioning look she rolled her eyes and walked back to camp, her zig zagged line still in play untill she reached camp and let loose her burden on the pile.

Shadowstep stood and picked up his rabbit, his gaze flicked to curiosity at his sisters words "ermf.... okf" he answered around rabbit fur, his load weighed him down alot, were rabbits always this heavy? he asked himself as he saw the camp come into sight "Thank starclan!" he thought as he slipped in, the rabbit made small scoring in the dust as he walked. Dropping his load on the pile he sauntered off to take a break.

DarkClaw looked towards the elders den where BlackSplotch had disappeared she wondered whats taking him so long??? She cleaned her pelt and waited impatiently for him with FlareWoods.

Brightpaw

Brightpaw stepped from behind the other apprentices and tentatively studied the elder. She bowed her head in respect "My name is Brightpaw, it is nice to meet you Thorneye." she had no better way of going about it than that. She waited to see what the elder would say. She could hear some movement and a distant voice from outside of the elder's den but ignored it for the time. She was sure it was just someone going on their way.

Meanwhile Spryclaw had time to ponder over exactly what had happened. He slipped out of camp and headed into the woods Should we really trust this apprentice? he wondered Did Sleetstar make the right decision? he shook his head. That wasn't really his business after all. Surely Sleetstar knew something he didn't What harm can it do anyhow, she's just an apprentice. Even if she is planning something it would never pan out... he sighed So much for my day off. I s'pose I'd best go hunting or something now if I'm going to be out of the camp anyhow.

BlackSplotch

BlackSplotch squeezed his way inside the elders den. He brushed past the bodies of the other cats and to the scent of ThornEye. He made it and he stopped a pawstep away, knowing Thorneye was right infront of him. He set the plump mouse down and meowed "Here you go, ThornEye. I figured you might be hungry."

The elder looked to the newest apprentice, she remained in a huddled lump as Blacksplotch pushed his way in. She looked to the fresh kill and smiled. "Thank you." She nodded, "I appreciate it greatly." She pulled the mouse between her paws, slowly beginning to eat. "ah I haven't tasted a mouse this good since I was an apprentice." She chuckled. After a moment of silence she looked back to the apprentices. She had scented the Foxclan stench on this young apprentice and new well that this apprentice had come from Foxclan, she didn't know the reasoning but she simply smiled to her. "Brightpaw, eh? What a lovely name and very befitting, I think."

Lilypaw

Lilypaw sighed in silent relief at Thorneye's acceptance. It had once been said that Thorneye was a tough and untrusting cat. She had been one of the strongest she-cat warriors there had been since the ancient clans. But the acceptance of Thorneye, especially for anyone from Foxclan was definitely a good sign.
