Thornstar stretched. All she did now was was sleep. But she wasn't ready to retire just yet. She ran out to Hopefall.
"I will be taking the next dawn patrol tomorrow. Nightclaw and Pinepaw will come with me. I also want a hunting patrol tonight with Blueclaw, Badgerclaw and Pumpkinvine."

*hope nodded* and i'll get some warriors together and take another sun high patroll

Thornstar leaped onto the tree stump in the clearing. ""Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather under the tree stump for a Clan meeting!" She waited as all the cats arrived.

" PineKit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Pinepaw. Your mentor will be Blueclaw. I hope they will pass down all he knows on to you. Blueclaw, come here. Blueclaw, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You had received excellent training from ((I don't know who mentored you)), and you have shown yourself to be smart and loyal. You will be the mentor of Pinepaw, and I expect you to pass on all you know to him."
Thornstar hops down from the stump and watches the new apprentice.

Thornstar nodded as she made her way to the fresh kill pile. She was glad for Pinepaw, but with him apprenticed, that meant no more kits in the nursery, and no queens either. She grabbed a blue jay and sat out side her den, thinking.

She slurped up the last of the bird, and called Blueclaw over. "Blueclaw, I want you to start training right away. Once the commotion dies down, Teach him to scrape moss. Oh, you'll be going on the hunting patrol tonight. Please tell Badgerclaw and Pumpkinvine Please." She stopped. She didn't want to overwhelm him. "Actually, you can sit this one out." She sent him on his way. "Hopefall, this would be a good time to take Sun high patrol." She stood up and shook herself off.
