Darksky bit Piedpaw's shoulder heard, then ran to her leader's side. She hissed at Lightstar and Sparksong, her fur puffed out, making her look twice as big. She leaped for Lightstar, claws fully extended in rage. Darksky didn't want to only prove herself, but she actually liked the fighting.

At the last minute I threw myself in front of Darksky, thinking only of my leader's safety.

I watched as the clans fought on. Every once in a while I'd give a good scratch or bite to a Solarclan warrior.

I watched the battle from my den, preparing herbs for all the wounded. I knew soon many cats would be injured and possibly dead. Solarclan couldn't have done this just for Icepaw could they?

"Icepaw!!!" Starnight yowled when he had fallen. She raced from the nursery and to his side. She saw the faint rise and fall of his flank. Thank StarClan he was still alive! She began licking his head. She felt the smallest connection to him from when she raised him from kithood.

I didn't hesitate to attack the elder queen. The only thing on my mind was getting Mothkit back to Solarclan. I scratched at her face, trying to make her retreat.

Starnight yowled at the raking claws. She jumped atop the SolarClan warrior. She pinned her down with her paw on the warrior's neck. Her tail lashed as she sank her back claws into her belly. Starnight hiss, "don't ever come back!"

Slopepaw
I ran at Starnight, knocking her off Shellsplash. "Take Mothkit and go!" I yelled to her as Piedpaw joined me in fighting the elder queen.

I grabbed Mothkit by the scruff and ran out of camp, racing for Solarclan territory.

Deathfang saw Shellsplash out of the corner of his eye. He saw she had Icepaw. He pushed away a SolarClan warrior as he raced after her. He rammed into her flank, knocking Icepaw out of her mouth. "Icepaw belongs with LunarClan!" He hiss fiercely.

Starnight lay flat on the ground. She couldn't think of anything she could do anymore. She had let Icepaw be taken from her. She wouldn't be able to live with herself if he joined SolarClan. She had always thought of him as her own son. But she knew he wasn't really her's. Starnight flicked her ear saying she didn't care what happened to her anymore. She didn't want to die, but she didn't want to live on.

(I just found out that we have a fox family living in the woods around us. I saw it on my way home, a fox kit.)

(Awww, we used to have a fox family at my old house. We could watch them walk around the yard from our kitchen window <3 )

I turned and scratched at Deathfang as Piedpaw an Slopepaw came running to my aid, done fighting Starnight I assumed. I slinked back and grabbed Mothkit again. Too many warriors had sacrificied their lives for him already. I ran across the stream separating our territories, barely keeping Mothkit up.

Slopepaw and I scratched at Deathfang, hoping our blows would hit. We had to get Mothkit back. Our clan depended on it.

I ran to Starnight as she fell hoping she was ok. I hadn't seen all that happened to her but I knew I needed to get to her. "Poor Icepaw," I muttered on my way, seeing the tom being taken away by Shellsplash.
