"Really?" Flashstar purred, circling his mate. "That's wonderful! Our kits will be the best!" He licked her ear. "Now for some ceremonies."

"All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather under the highbranch for a Clan meeting!" Flashstrike called. "I say these words before all of you, and may StarClan accept my choice. Redfeather will be the new deputy of MistClan." Congratulations were passed around. "Now for three more ceremonies. Mistypaw," he looked at the shecat. "I know you are only an apprentice, but I wish for you to go to the moonpool tonight to receive your full medicine cat name so you can train Frecklepaw." Frecklepaw's eyes lit up and she purred, padding over to her new mentor. "Pricklefeather," he said to the shecat. "You will mentor Frostpaw." The two cats smiled and sat together. "Ashpaw will be mentored by Bluemoon," he continued. "And Coalpaw," he said, smiling at the bouncing kit. "Your mentor will be Redfeather."
"Redfeather! Frecklepaw! Ashpaw! Frostpaw! Coalpaw!" the cats cheered.
"One more announcement," said Flashstar. "Fallenshadow shall be moving to the nursery." He looked at his old mentor expectantly. "Please prepare her for the horrors of motherhood," he joked.
