Flicker flew against the headwinds, then settled down on the terrain. She continued her journey to find other dragons on foot.

Kay flew back to his stone island, and put a mouthful of seawater into a dip in the stone. He brought it to a boil, and tossed in his prey.

Flicker sighed. After her entire village, over 100 dragons, was wiped out, she hadn't seen another dragon, yet alone another creature that would talk to her. Her mother had told her to find a mate, and become a mother... Flicker felt horrible for she would never accomplish that...Or so she thought. But in her heart, she knew it was true...

The scent of boiling clams filled the cave, and soon, all around the island, too. He thought about leaving to the mainland, to find something new to add to his cooking. He put his food in a shark skin bag, and took off for the mainland.

Flicker sniffed the air. She smelled clams. She sighed. How long had it been since she had tasted a yummy clam? It had been years. She also smelt a male dragon. Her heart gave a happy flutter. The last time she was near a male was when she was with the love of her life, a handsome dragon named Singei. She hadn't seen Singei since he...It pained her to think of his mate... Since he and his mate had left her village... She missed him..And she still loved him too... Now that there were more dragons in this area, she decided to get over him. Maybe she'd meet someone special.. She doubted it. No males liked her..

Kay skidded to a halt on the beach sand. He set his bag between his wings, and decided to walk instead. He went looking for vegetables.

Flicker roared sadly, a loud roar that threaded through the land, creating a tangle of wildly sad music. Her roar could be heard from anywhere and everywhere.

Exoria flew to Kay's den, only to find him missing.

Flicker sighed, plopping down on her rear.

Kay heard the roar, and knew it wasn't Exoria. He roared back, wondering who it was.
