Spottedpaw smiled and then nodded," Why now? Why would you tell me this now? Why let me go around acting like a love sick cat and then have to give you up so every one is happy?"

"I was afraid," Bravepaw murmured pinning his ears back. "The only family I have is my uncle and I didn't want to lose you.....my mother never told me who my father was but she did say that he wasn't in the clan. I saw how sad she would become whenever I asked or if she thought of him. I never wanted to be heart broken like she was." He curled his tail tighter around himself as his eyes darkened. "Seeing my mother like that made me scared to be hurt or lose someoe close. When she died....I wanted to find love but I wasn't sure if I could put my heart into it like she did."

Spottedpaw got up and went over. She then pressed up against him and nuzzled him. "Don't worry. Just promise if we want to be together then we take it kind of slow."

"Of course,"Bravepaw replied. "I don't think it would be good to just jump in head first." He gave her a small smile and lightly licked her ear.

Blazetrail smiled feeling happy,"Thats good. Hopefully it will heal quickly."
