Jinzu lay in silence, gazing out at the ruined pridelands. His mate stood next to him, occasionally glancing around warily. Her life as a rogue had made her a little paranoid. "Kage!" She called with a snarl. "Get over here!" The young, black-maned lion emerged from behind a rock and slunk towards his comrades.

Carion walked around slowly, her ears swiveling around with each step. She heard the sound of anothe lion nearby and lowered into a defensive position as she slink into a pile of brush that was close by.

Kage glanced around, having thought he saw something. He gave a yawn. "Lighten up, sis." He said, still looking in one particular direction.
