Silentstrike shook his head, getting out of his thoughts. "Yeah sure." He rose and padded down the mountain at a slow pace, his tail flicking as he thought.

And Golden, haven't Falconswoop & Coldblaze already left the camp and isn't Sparrowsong about to leave with Addercreek and Skystep on dawn patrol?

Snowpaw narrowed his eyes very slightly. Battle training. Great. At least I can keep my claws sheathed. He trotted through the fairly deep snow with ease gained from moons of practice, noting again that it was cold for spring. Following the swishing, plumed tail of his mentor, he headed towards the training area at a ground-eating pace, thinking about his upcoming battle session. I'm certainly dedicated to my Clan- and I definitely can't bear the thought of those scrawny WillowClan cats living in our territory- but causing pain is, well, painful for me. I pray I never have to fight an actual enemy. Reaching the trainig area's entrance, he sat, waitng for Coldblaze's instructions.

Silentstrike sighed and nodded. "Okay." He bit into the tender fish and swallowed slowly. Should he run after Ravenfrost? He bit his lip and pushed the fish back over to Silversmoke.

Tall grasses parted as Cold arrived at the training hollow, leaving a small trail through the yellowed weeds for her apprentice to follow. Turning back to face Snowpaw as the warrior entered the snowy grounded hollow, the she-cat thought of what to practice in his battle training, I haven't seen him against an intruder yet... The silver tabby indicated by turning her head 'WillowClan', then directed the white apprentice's gaze to fall on her. "What do you do?" Coldblaze said this with a low growl, challenging Snowpaw to an outsider as she was pretending to be.

Silversmoke tore off a bite or two of her own, savoring the tender white meat. WillowClan's territory included the best fishing streams, so she had never had a fish this large and tasty before. Her hunger still yowled in her belly, so she took yet another bite. After chewing, she carefully cleaned her whiskers and regarded Silentstrike with an unnerving deadpan face. "Even if you don't know where Ravenfrost is going, do you know when she's coming back?" she asked suddenly, shuffling her paws.

Snowpaw brushed through the ring of long grass, dead stalks crackling under his feet. He crouched, sweeping his tail behind him and digging his claws in for traction on the slick snow. "For starters, I alert the Clan," he said, then lunged forward, hooking his paw around his mentor's front legs in hopes of toppling her. "And I don't close with a cat who far outweighs me," he added.

Silentstrike bit off more and sat back and let Silversmoke finish. When she did, he thought about her question. "No. She didn't. She just... left. I told her I thought it was about time she stepped up and became leader. Then she took off. Perhaps she went to get her nine lives but I'm surprised she didn't head back to camp to tell anyone or ask me to come with her as an escort." Silentstrike shrugged.

Silversmoke frowned for an instant, then relaxed. She had heard a rumor that the leaders of the Clans had nine lives. Apparently it, unlike some other Clan-related myths, was true. "How does that work?" she asked. "I mean, how would she recieve them?"

Silentstrike realized Silversmoke was new and didn't know all the things about the Clans. He sniffed and flexed his muscles. "Well, I've never actually done it before, but, I've heard, that nine different StarClan cats give you a life when you sleep under the Moon Tree and dream."

Ravenfrost padded on, her paws still weary. Her mind finally had cleared up. She wondered if it had been the best idea to leave her Clan alone so quickly. She hadn't really thought about it at that time. With a long sigh, she padded on until she'd finally reached the farthest Clan border, the spot of the Moontree. She made her way through some plants into a clearing with a ever-so-tall, thick tree with branches that grew plenty of leaves. She regretted not trying to sleep before coming now, her paws aching so. She slowly started to climb up the tree, pain in each clawed step. When she had eventually reached the highest branch that was still thick enough to hold even a heavy cat, just over halfway up the tree. She climbed onto it, lying in the spot next to the trunk, where the bark was slightly worn in a circle. The two Clans had been going there since they'd reached the place, she could tell. Many cats had been here before her. Sadness engulfed her for a moment, remembering their past leader as she curled up into the spot. She quickly cleared her mind, though, and closed her eyes.

Darkness flooded her mind.

She woke up in a clearing, many shadows of cats surrounding her. {dream will continue as others post XD}
