Cyrano looked at her skeptically, letting his maw part in a slight smirk of sorts. The female was very shy, very timid, but seemed surprisingly like able so far. "Pfft, no need to be scared, I don't bite too hard." the bull teased, swishing his long, draping tail from side to side slowly. "But anywho, what's keeping ya from talking?" he questioned, giving her a curious glance before looking around to see if anyone else was approaching. Satisfied to see that no one was, he turned his attention back to Amnesia.

Amnesia watched the male's face carefully; although she was a quiet female, Amnesia had a great eye to notice subtle change. And she could see the small smirk on Cyrano's face after she replied. It was curved up slightly, barely noticeable, but his eye gave it all away: the fact that he was smirking. He had a strange sparkle to his eye. Then she was faced with another question, and she could tell this male was up to something, just the tone of his voice gave it away. Amnesia's slight rebelliousness suddenly shone through. "What do you want from me?" she asked, a slight look of suspicion painted upon her face, yet her voice still soft and slurred like beautiful poetry.

Reiki spent a few moments watching the others interact, or just graze alone. She scanned the area when a blank kirin who she hard remembered was the long lost leader, the one she'd never met. She tilted her strange face, her emerald eyes filled with curiosity. She'd been born into the heard, but that was after their leader had disappeared into the forbidden forest. She'd heard many stories about him, and rumors on why, but there was no real answer to the question, 'why'. She straightened up her head, and broke into a small jog, stopping a few feet away from the large, black bull.
"You're Thorin, correct?" she asked in a polite, but curious voice, green eyes studying him as he stood before him.

Thorin's thoughts and gentle swaying of his stature and mannerism as he walked were briefly interrupted by a female with quite a characteristic marking on her face, a noticeable one, one that a kirin couldn't forget. Now, it was not an ugly marking, and Thorin found it nice; it was like something unique. He liked uniqueness. He remembered this kirin somehow; her marking hadn't been fully developed as it was now, but it's little bits had been there when he had seen her last. Then she questioned him, like most had been doing, and he replied in his deep and slurred voice, "Yes, I am Thorin."

The female stood and watched, giving a small nod to the large bull. He was much larger, and regal than she had expected, he had the real look of a leader, strong and powerful.
"I'm Reiki, a lower cow of the herd, I don't think I've ever met you," she explain, introducing herself to him first before saying anything else, he had to be respected after all he was the leader."I was wondering, about the forest, they say that you'll never return but obviously you did... so it can't really be that bad can it?" her voice quiet and secretive since she knew talking about the forest even in it self was a taboo, but she was too curious of it.
She usually wouldn't have approached a leader like this, seeing as she felt like an outcast because of her odd markings which most did not like much at all. But curiously got the best of the young cow, and the odd feeling that it may not bother him as much as the others.

Thorin gave a small smirk as Reiki asked about the forest. He bowed his head slightly in respect for her. "Nice to meet you Reiki," he said, watching her carefully as she spoke. He could tell the forest was a curious subject for her, and that she was definitely interested in hearing his answers. He had to word this carefully, and based on experiences, he did not want any of his herd to go into the forest. "I highly advise not going in," he said, ears pricked up. "You never know what to expect, and I have to say it was probably a mistake to stay for such a long time and abandon my herd so abruptly."

Reiki nodded and lowered her head as he did to her, bring it back up and cocking it as he spoke. She thought for a moment before replying. I wonder why he went in the first place, he said 'abandon his herd', did he mean to do it, abandon us? he didn't seem too afraid of it, maybe he was hiding something? A massive bunch of questions swirled around her small delicate head, but she knew she couldn't ask any of them. She shook the ideas from her head, letting her gaze look up to his as she opened her mouth,
"So then, was it as frightening as they say? Were their beasts and monsters?" she asked, hiding her real questions, and asking a small and delicate one that wouldn't be as intrusive and obnoxious as the ones in her mind.

Just by the look in Reiki's eyes, Thorin could tell that this cow had something bigger in her head, and that she was as curious as the next kirin. He wouldn't reveal it all, as some of it was private for him to know only, but he knew that he couldn't let some questions just hanging in the air. "Yes, there were more predators than what we find out here where it is plain and flat," he said. "More trees and hidden places mean more areas for carnivorous creatures to lurk and keep out of our sight."

({Gnaa, sorry this took so long, I have way to many Rps to think about. xD Gonna try to keep these posts coming more often though, cuz I can't wait for all the major stuff to start unfolding. ;D})

Winter dipped her head in agreement as they made their way over to that swaying old tree, sighing to herself in relief as a spotty mass of dancing shadows engulfed her. The breeze was much cooler under the oak's protection, and she gently settled down between a pair of tapering roots before turning her gaze back to Darius and Fenyetta. The little cow was nearly at her wits end at this point, and even though Darius stood calmly still, drinking in the relief of the shelter, there was no need to keep them waiting any longer. With a thoughtful swish of her long, silky tail in the grass, she began.

"Thorin and I were both younger calves at about the same time, he a little older than I." she explained, smiling softly to herself as her eyes wandered back out over the field. "We share many of the same memories, both the precious ones from when we all used to play in this same field, and the terrible ones..." she trailed on for a moment before going on, her expression growing a little darker as one ear flicked away an insect. "Thorin, Ben, myself, and a sparing few others; we're the last remaining survivors of the massacres, the ones Thorin told of that came about 16 years ago. I was 2 then." her expression was solemn now, but she gave a swift, light smile to them both, to show she was okay. That she was a strong-minded cow could almost be laughed upon as an understatement at her current age. It would take something far worse than a troubled memory to ruffle her.

A heavy sigh escaped her muzzle as she now gazed upon a small bee. It hummed about the top of a small wild flower for a moment, and then she watched it busily buzz away. "I know what he's been through. I can empathize with him because I lost family too. But as to why he left the 4 of us standing there alone, and remained absent all these years, only Thorin will ever truly know." she shook her head, puzzled even still by the bull's decision. She'd always had a few possible answers rationalized in her head, but she wasn't one for spreading rumor. If Thorin wanted his herd to know, he would eventually tell them. All a rumor would ever do was hurt somebody in the end.

Feeling adequately rested and cooled off, she swiftly and gracefully rose to her hooves, shaking the dirt and leaf crumbles out of her supple fur with a quick shutter. Her lavender eyes, always remaining ever sincere, looked upon Darius and Fenyetta once more. "And as for treating him like a god," she chuckled, raising a brow in a refined, yet playful manner at young Fenyetta, "I wouldn't say that's the case here at all, it's just been many years." she smiled once more, and then tilted her head slightly as she curiously glanced back across the field at Thorin, "I mean, how often does an old friend, figuratively of course, rise from the dead?"

The large brute was not the least bit surprised that this cow was saying something upfront. Most did, if they felt Cyrano was simply toying with them, and they did not like it. That was to this bull's no concern, however, for he didn't really care-for the most part, at least."Hm, what makes you think I want something from you? Just a chat is all." The bright colored beast replied, in a soothing, yet mocking tone. He flickered his ears, his demeanor remaining causal and calm. Optics studying the cow, he did conclude her soft tone and hazel hues were pleasing to the eye.
