The feline shifted and wailed out once more as one of the demons taunted him, blood dripping from its mouth and landing on imaginary bodies beside him. He shook, the nightmares continuing around him. His life was a fantasy in the moment, didn't exist and yet was so real, so hauntingly real. His body was shivering, his fur bristled upward and slight beads of sweat coming off of his pelt. He was, in the time, insane. Experiences brought forth the haunting life of a killer's son, and then the death of the only thing he knew. Demons took over his parents, taking their mind, haunting them until they turned on each other, turned on everyone. He shook, his eyes shutting tightly, only to see the images of what was, and when it disappeared. His running self, running from the darkness that raced him to the forefront of his own mind... what had become of his father, and mother, and the rest of the dear tribe around him.
~ There are just some pets, even animals, that you could never forget. You fell in love with them on first site, and they fell in love with you. They loved you because you were gentle enough for them, spoke softly enough for them. They loved you because you loved them, unconditionally. This relationship with them can never be broken even after they're gone...
I miss you, Lakota. May you rest in peace.
