Brokenfeather finished quickly. "Dawn patrol. Eat if you can do it quickly." She said in her usual down-to-work manner, shoving her apprentice the other watervole.

Fishpaw

The hyper she-cat shrugged. "That's for Brokenfeather to decide. I think she's leading the patrol. If not, she'll tell you who is."

Runningfury

Runningfury shrugged. "Yeah. Anyways, I wonder if Brokenfeather and her apperentice would be up for a hunting patrol later?" He questioned, despite his gaze resting on his leader.

⚘ Heatherstrike

Heatherstrike overheard Reedpaw asking Fishpaw if he could tag along. "You're our medicine cat now. No one can stop you." Heatherstrike flicked her tail and waited for the cats to finish their prey.

⚘ Reedpaw

Reedpaw nodded, used to Heatherstrike's hard attitude. She meant well, but the she-cat really never learned how to give affection. The tabby tom smiled at Fishpaw and waited with the rest of the cats.

⚘ Ripplestar

Ripplestar's gaze locked with Brokenfeather's. When she turned away, Ripplestar's heart was in a hurry. He shook his head, clearing his thoughts. Did the she-cat look... Embarrassed? Shrugging, Ripplestar padded over to an empty spot in the camp when he scented something. It was a cat! But it wasn't a Clan cat.... Ripplestar's fur stood on end as he looked around for the intruder.

Applesong

Applesong shrugged and followed his gaze the Ripplestar. Wondering what he had found. "Mistypaw could use some hunting practice, maybe we could come with you?" Applesong asked, then took a bite into her mouse.

Ashpaw

Ashpaw smiled back at Mistypaw then turned his attention to his mentor. Swiflty he began to eat the watervole, gulping down each bite as fast as he could. The young tom was actually excited about patrols, as long as hunting wasn't a part of it.

Brokenfeather

Brokenfeather prodded her apperentice's shoulder. "We'll test your hunting skills a little. You've been falling behind on that part of training." She let her gaze fall on Ripplestar a moment. "Hurry up." She said quietly, before padding over to her leader. Her furred face felt hot, but she tried to shake the feeling off. She had never been this close to him. "Ripplestar?" She asked, catching the loner scent. Fearscent was nearby, and it was fresher. "A loner...?"

Runningfury

Runningfury nodded. "Sure." With a yawn and a stretch, the tom was soon on his back, rubbing his fur in the dirt.

River

River took in her breath. One of them, she had noted as the leader, had picked up her scent where she was before. She flattened against some torn bark, trying to hide.

⚘ Ripplestar

Ripplestar nodded, his eyes narrowed. "Yes, a loner. The scent is fresh, but I don't see any cat. Brokenfeather, tell Heatherstrike there's been a change of plans. Instead of following the stream to the fallen log, patrol around the camp for any signs of this cat."

Mistypaw's smile grew as she turned her face away from Ashpaws. 'He smiled back!' She though. Her smile immediately ceased as she heard applesong talk about hunting. 'Great way to ruin my mood, thanks.' She sighed. She did need it though, she just didn't want to admit it. She stood up, ready to follow Applesong and her commands.

Ashpaw

Ashpaw frown and immediately started to chew slower. Mumbling something in between bites. Hunting was his least favorite thing about being a clan cat. Yet Brokenfeather insisted he kept on working on it. Ashpaw was much more proficient at battle skills, and would much rather do that. Fighting was more about thinking fast, while hunting was often more of patience.

Applesong

Applesong turned her attention to Mistypaw. "Well prey levels are started to drop and we need every cat to have good hunting techniques." She told the apprentice. Applesong always loved to hunt, making her not relate to Mistypaw's feelings that well.

Brokenfeather

Brokenfeather narrowed her eyes at the fluffy figure. "No need. I've already found her." She flicked her tail at the shredded bark, noticing a shiver from the almost completely hidden she-cat.

[oh, sorry, she wasn't actually speaking when she made the remark about Applesong, al of the things in 'example' are thingking. "example" is talking. Sorry haha.]

"Ok Applesong." She sat up a bit more, trying to show her mentor she is up for anything. She looked aver to Ripplestar and Brokenfeather, something seemed to be going on. She couldn't hear that far though, unfortunately.

⚘ Ripplestar

Ripplestar followed Brokenfeather's gaze and spotted the she-cat right away. "Please come down. We mean you no harm." Ripplestar called up to the loner. "I would only like to speak with you." The gray tom turned and whispered into Brokenfeather's ear. "Tell the patrol to go ahead and leave. I'd like you here when I question this cat. And if she tries to get away, we will drive her out of our territory."
