Just when Stone was about to set off on his own, he heard a soft voice speaking his name. It matched the howl he heard earlier, so he wondered if that same wolf, Star, wanted to talk to him specifically.
Wait. Wasn't Star the alpha of the new Southern pack? What would she want with him? What was she doing here anyways?
"Yes? Alright. I'll hear you out, but can we walk at the same time?"
Things were getting a little tense here and he wanted to get out of the Eastern Pack's territory as soon as possible. He started walking slowly.

Star: She nodded. 'Yes just what i was gonna talk to you about i was wondering if you wanted to join my new pack i just start." She said gently. "No controlled by young inexperienced wolves." she said gently.

So that was what this was about. It did make sense. Actually, Stone was flattered that he would be offered a position right off the bat. His reputation as the former lead hunter must have managed to hang on despite Voltage's tendency to overlook him. Thus, Star's respectful attitude scored her big points in his book.
Stone continued walking slowly as he thought it over a moment. The offer was tempting and he would much rather be a part of a pack than a loner, but there were a few questions that needed answering first.
"Hm... It's a tempting offer, alright. What sort of duties might be expected of me, if I joined?"
It was really a more polite way to ask what sort of rank he might be given. Being proud, Stone wouldn't must like to be demoted to a 'regular joe', so to speak. He had worked hard for his rank, and if he was going to sacrific it, then it would be on his terms. However, if he got to keep his old rank, or was lucky enough to be offered a promotion, there was no way he would turn her down.

Star: She smiled as he was looking at the offer. "How does Beta Male sound in your book?" She asked slightly. She liked this male he was calm and collected. He was nice and very good for the job. she looked at him walking back to her pack. Plus she needed good strong brutes to take up the ranks.

" Ok, I am going to hunt and you ? " She said to his brother. " Well, I am going to look if any strangers are in the territory. " He awser back

It was difficult to hide the wag that leaked its way into his tail. Beta? It was almost too good to be true!
"It sounds excellent. I would be honored to hold such a position in your rising pack."
He accepted gracefully, slipping into the formal language he preferred to use when addressing a superior. Star knew what shde was doing, and that was good enough for him. As long as she kept stearing everyone in the right direction he would follow and defend her until the end. That was just his way. Loyalty was something he valued greatly.

Soul stood, her amber eyes glinting. She tensed the legs and wings, getting ready to take off.

I lifted my head up and crawled out from under the overhang. My ears rung for some reason, but I snorted and kept walking. I slipped out of camp, again, and crept through the trees, avoiding all dips and cracks in the ground. I sat down beside the river and howled mournfully, stopping suddenly when I realized that I was actually howling. I never howled, I was always afraid others would notice me. Shaking my head, I took a deep breath, and let out a long, beautiful howl. The note sounded just right, and I couldn't help but smile.

Star: She looked at him and smiled. "Well i would be honored to have you in my pack." She smiled softly before hearing him talk formally. "No need to talk to me formal talk to me liked you've known me all you life." She said gently. That was the only problem with being alpha all other are afraid to talk to her but she didn't like that.
