The Games Master howled to start the competition. The wolves and dark filly raced to the dragon's den. Wolfheart took an unusual route: instead of going into the main entryway, she followed a tunnel and came out behind the furious dragon. It did not see her, although it saw the rival wolves.
At the top of a pile of gold and gems, she found a stone that, long ago, was stolen from the wolves-the luna stone (OOC-No relation to Princess Luna). Although not the biggest stone, it was the most important. The dark filly silently took the luna stone in her teeth and snuck out the back way. She could sense the dragon would turn and see the luna stone was gone any time now, and the worry lent speed and silence to her hooves.
She raced out the back way and ducked low, and the dragon's flames barely missed her. She raced back to the Master of Games, and presented her stone. The wolves declared her the winner of the stealth portion of the Games and the new Guardian of the luna stone.
Shadowstorm ran up to her again, for he had been worried.
Wolfheart laughed gently. "Trust me, little one, i can fight well and i am a survivor. I won't get hurt bad. Trust me."
She felt the colt shivering, and comforted him before retiring for the day, for soon the Games would have fighting and hunting, and the filly wanted to win.
The Master of Games announced, "There will be a three-day recess, for some of the Pack-Kind in the stealth competition were hurt. Several wolves from each Pack were burned and must be rested for a few days ere the next competition will begin."
Wolfheart turned to Shadowstorm. "Come on, Colt. Let's get back to the town. I like these woods, but they are dangerous for you."
"Please, Wolfheart. Can i wander the woods with you?"
"If you stay by me you may. But don't go wandering off-too dangerous."
"I-I will..." he whispered.
With Shadowstorm at her side, Wolfheart trotted further into the forest, looking for an abandoned cave or hollow tree where the colt could spend the night while she stood guard.
