"Cloudpaw, you can talk you know" He said with a purr of amusement

Cloudpaw blinked her eyes. "Well, you could've told me that earlier."

"I thought that you knew, if you can hear you can speak, and you can speak anyway, we have only ever had one mute cat, and that was my father, Reedfoot, our old medicine cat before he was reborn as Blacky a kittypet and rejoined the clan taking a warrior name and becoming a warrior" He nudged the young she-cat affectionately, "Also, we have to go to the moonpool, so you can become a proper medicine cat apprentice, When I touch my belly with my tail I need you to say 'I do' and then you may share tongues with our ancestors in StarClan"

[wolf ;;]

Cloudpaw nodded, and she flicke her tail. "Wait, so I can speak even if I'm deaf?"

"Sure you can" he said, "Never met a single deaf cat who couldn't" (Not that he has ever met another deaf cat lol)

Cloudpaw flicked an ear. 'And how many deaf cats have you met?"

"Other than you, only those in StarClan, and there are plenty there" he purred

[wolf ;;]

Cloudpaw nodded. "Ok." She meowed.

"I will leave you to sleep because this is like being awake, and you will be tired when you wake up. we will do this often but I will make sure you have enough time to rest as well" he meowed before touching her lightly on the head with his muzzle and padding away to nothing.

Cloudpaw watched her mentor, and her eyes glinted as her dream faded into blackness, ending the dream.
