pepplestream closed her eyes and spoke softly to the loner, knowing this was supposed to be a kittypet. "whats your name?" she asked. "we are clan. we are family. we can talk to each other, we can understand each other. we cant talk to twolegs, and who wants to eat dried rabbit droppings?" when pepplestream felt the kittypet stiffen, she added more softly, "why dont you stay with your own kind? one day, your twolegs will abandon you. clan life will never do that." she stopped, out of breath. she let her words hang in the air, waiting for reaction. had she said to much?

"I'm Smash," he meowed. ((Sorry if I first said rusty. I meant Smash lol.)) "And I want to join you." When the Clan cats gave him frowned glances, he meowed. " hate it in twoleg place. Please. I want to stay with you. I'll hunt for you the best I can.... And I'm sorry for how stupid I behaved first"

"It will rain soon" she meowed "i said that speech, I did want you join the clan. your hunting is way to good for a kittypet..." she quickly went on, hoping not to offend the kittypet. ''but to many loners have joined the clan. i hope, and i wish for you to come and stay but...it is no my place to chose'' she looked at the cat called "smash" and nodded. "you impressed me, but you have to ask sandstar for the real reason. will you always stay? will you go back when its leaf-bare when our clan is sick? im...er....im er half a loner myself, but we never had a kittypet join the clan. if we have to chose, ill ask for you to stay. but for now.....ambertail?" she looked at the deputy and tipped her head to one side

Smash dipped his head deeply. "I will stay with your Clan-my Clan, if I can join-through all hard times and protect with my life. Can I please talk to Sandstar?"

pearlheart pushed the mouse back to the fresh-kill pile when she heard sandstar call. she sat up straight and licked her chest fur smooth. she hoped she would become a mentor, she wanted to prove she was loyal, to sandstar, to the clan. she could see form the corner of her eyes that eaglecall thought she was unloyal, and she felt her ears burn. my sister DIED to prove half-clans were loyal! she thought. when would she be truly accepted?

Sandstar also called forward Starkit, Foxx, and Neonkit. She waited for Runner.
