smudge got up. she shook her head. she walked out of the small den but she did it so no cat would wake up. she sat down and started her groom. she saw Wolfstar and smiled. "maybe i can ask him and he will let me stay." she said to herself.

Rabbitfoot was still on guard in the camp, sitting his vigil with the other new warriors. In this free time, he thought about a lot of things. His mother, his father, his stillborn sister, Breezepaw, Firesong, the dog.... It was all just a little too much for the tom right now. Rabbitfoot stood and padded through the fern tunnel and retook his position outisde of camp.

WolfStar watched as LionClaw dropped the kit to the nursery. The darkness of his den looked welcoming and sleep pulled at his limbs. Rosepaw sat in the center of camp eating a mouse. He looked up, the light of the day filtering through the trees near the horizon. His mouth gaped open and he stretched, his claws digging into the ground before he set off to see NightBird then go to sleep.

WolfStar sat and glanced around, watching RabbitFoot leave the cap and retake his position out side. He noticed the new kit looking at him, and he turned to blink warmly to her. She seemed like she needed to say something.

BreezePaw nodded at her "I am too." She meowed but took a moment to look around camp for a few seconds. She sighed then walked into the apprentices den, finding her nest and patting it down a few times before laying in it and curling up. She closed her eyes, falling asleep easily thought the danger laid out in the forest unknown.

Amberclaw retreated into the darkness of the warriors den and crawled into one of the nests. His scent drifted into his nose as he curled into a ball and plopped down into the nest. He closed his eyes, but a growling sound came from behind him. His fur bristled and he jumped up, spinning around to see darkness. He growled under his breathe but laid back down cautiously. He didn't bother closing his eyes, he knew he'd get no sleep.

Poppyheart went to the warriors den and lay down.
Within a few minutes she fell asleep.

H A Z E L S T R I P E

Hazelstripe wondered around the forest, looking at all the trees and night sky.
She looked around for some prey to eat.
She instantly heard a rumble in some bushes, and caught a plump rabbit.
She decided to save it for morning to come back and grab it, so she was sure no one could see her.
A few paces out side the camp entrance she hid the rabbit in some leaves.
I hope nothing finds it.. she thought to her self.
She crawled inside the camp, hiding herself behind trees and tall grass as she made her way to the
warriors den.

Rabbitfoot wanted to call out at Hazelstripe, but he was on his vigil. The she-cat just walked right past him into the camp. Rabbitfoot rolled his eyes and kept on watch. What was THAT about? The white tom asked himself.

WolfStar sighed and got up, nodding slightly to the warriors who will sit vigil before he retreated into his den. The darkness enveloped him and he rested in his nest a few moments, thinking about the dogs and what trouble they could bring. He sighed and closed his eyes, falling asleep after a few moments.

The black brutes nose twitched, the smell of blood reaching his nostrils as he padded through the forest nosily. He barked "Food!" To a pair of dogs behind him, there fur torn and missing at spots. The other dogs howled, calling the others who were keeping home at a nearby rocky shelter. The wolf moved onward with his band of strays and half breeds, there were at least seven of them. The wolf could smell the blood of the rabbit, focusing on it until he could see the full body of it. He ran forward, crunching down on it. Other dogs moved past him, smelling cat. The wolf stood, smelling the cats as well. Before he realized it, they surrounded a group of cats, He licked the blood off his chops and sent the signal. Every member of the poor pack rushed into the thorny bushes, the bush pulling at their pelts. They could hear hisses and feel sharp claws dig at their paws, but it made them angrier. [/quote]

WolfStar's ears twitched, the sound of dogs waking him from his sleep. He padded out of his den, seeing some worried faces on the cats in the clearings. His body stiffened as he heard a growl outside of camp, but as the dark figures broke through the clearing he rushed to attack, clinging on to a brown furred brute.

BreezePaw jumped awake, the den she was sleeping in was starting to collapse. She ran outside, seeing dogs litter the open space. Her ears were tucked down tightly as there barks ripped through the air. A gray looking mutt rushed over to her, baring his fangs. She hissed and jumped, landing on the dogs head and scratched as hard as she could.

Amberclaw flicked his ears, not being able to sleep. Howls made him rush outside, and only a few more seconds until chaos broke out in the camp. Dogs were swarming the place, a large black dog breaking through the bushes easily. He hissed as they came close, slashing his claws through the air as much as he could.

Poppyheart woke up to a loud growl outside the den.
When she looked up she saw most of the cats out of the den, fighting a large creature.
She got up, and raced outside to stumble upon a giant wolf.

Hazelstripe raced outside and realized what she had done.
Oh no..
She wasn't sure whether she wanted to risk her life or stay back.
It's for the clan... She reminded herself.

The wolf saw a nice grey cat making a run for it, into a hole. He dashed over, grabbing it by the tail and lifting it. He growled deeply, as the other dogs raced to the two emerging cats (Poppy and Hazel) and ran around for the other fleeing ones. The cat slashed him which caused the wolf to lose his grip and drop it in a yelp.

WolfStar saw PoppyHeart and HazelStripe emerge from the den and he called to them as he jumped from the dogs side. "Hurry! Protect the nursery!" He called and ran towards the nursery to check on the kittens ans Spottedpaw but felt his tail be yanked back. He hissed in pain to see a large black brute lifting him by the tail. He slashed his nose, making the dog drop him on his side. He growled, ready to attack the wolf as he tried to strike him.

Poppyheart's eyes widened with fear.
She backed up a few paces and darted over to the nursery
and ran inside to protect the queens and kits.
How did this happen? .. She thought to herself.

H A Z E L S T R I P E

Hazelstripe ran from the dog in fear.
I don't wanna die today!
She ran around the circumference of the camp, looking for a place to hide.
I don't know what to do.. I can't die yet, but the clan needs everybody.
