Spottedpaw purred. "I think I knew a twoleg family like that." The queen sighed as Heatherkit began to squeal. The she-kit was very demanding. Spottedpaw gave her strongest kit a few swift licks, then curled herself tighter around her newborns. "What were your parents like?"

"mothre was quit but she did have to yell at times but other then she was very nice. dad was a loner. he would always come and go but i love him." she purred.

Spottedpaw was listening, but she was quickly falling back asleep. "Well, Smudge, you're welcome to stay here with me and my kits. Maybe Wolfstar will even let you join the Clan." She yawned.

Poppyheart sat in camp needing something to do. She wanted to go out in the forest and look for more evidence of the new danger. But, she also didn't want to get hurt.

Hazelstripe groomed her fur, waiting for something else to happen. She decided to go see if she could figure out why Poppyheart was in the forest. Of coarse she wasn't hunting. She just wanted to make sure she wasn't getting into trouble.

. . . . Rosepaw yawned and padded over to the fresh-kill pile to get something to eat, since she hadn't eaten since morning. She selected one of the mice she and Amberclaw had caught earlier and sat down by the apprentices' den to eat.

she nodded and settled her head down on her paws. she was tiny but she loved this she-cat even though she was older then her kits but she acted like her mother which she loved.she smiled before falling into a dreamless sleep.

WolfStar watched as LionClaw dropped the kit to the nursery. The darkness of his den looked welcoming and sleep pulled at his limbs. Rosepaw sat in the center of camp eating a mouse. He looked up, the light of the day filtering through the trees near the horizon. His mouth gaped open and he stretched, his claws digging into the ground before he set off to see NightBird then go to sleep.

BreezePaw trotted over to Rosepaw and sat near the she cat. "Hey," She meowed and gave her a soft smile. She looked around for the newest warriors getting ready for their vigil tonight. She sighed silently then turned back to the apprentice. "Did you see anything when you were out there?" She asked, talking about the dogs.

Amberclaw retreated into the darkness of the warriors den and crawled into one of the nests. His scent drifted into his nose as he curled into a ball and plopped down into the nest. He closed his eyes, but a growling sound came from behind him. His fur bristled and he jumped up, spinning around to see darkness. He growled under his breathe but laid back down cautiously. He didn't bother closing his eyes, he knew he'd get no sleep.

. . . . Rosepaw nodded to the other apprentice and quickly swallowed before answering. "No, but Amberclaw saw the dog when we were heading back to camp from hunting." She ran her tongue over her whiskers and, gesturing to the mouse at her paws, asked, "Would you like the rest of this?"
