Niamh’s stubby, little paws gently pushed her even closer to her mother, so she wouldn’t have to stain her fragile neck. She squealed and squeaked as she felt her mother’s warm, soft body. She began to suckle, the sweet, comforting milk filled her tiny mouth and she gulped it down happily.

Alec frowned as he saw Sea becoming an apprentice to the new healer, it’s not that he wanted to be a healer or anything like that, it was just that Sea seemed to have everything, she was leader of snakes and now she was going to have one of the most important roles in a pack. Alec felt like nothing, he would probably amount to a useless, stupid fighter or something along the lines of that.
