"Well, I always thought that the Alpha Female could choose whoever she wants as her mate.And, she can either move that mate to the Alpha rank, or keep him down at his own rank.After all, the Alpha Male can't decide who you want to love.It's your choice.After all, it's your love.If you want Hayden..," his voice cracked, but he continued, "That's fine with me.After all, he's the Alpha Male.And I'm just a Beta.Do what your heart tells you to, Zala.I really don't mind who you choose," he said.Riker then left, partially heart-broken.He truly loved Zala, but he didn't know if she truly loved him back.Riker padded into the den and laid down, all worn out, but not from the battle--from love.

Sola said, or tried to, "I know he's dead!But... you can't be too sure."It actually came out like, "If sno fe's fez!Rud...foo nap'd pe woo fure," because of the paw in her mouth.She then stopped biting, and laid down.

Zala laid her ears back and looked at the ground. She padded into the forest, She thought sbout it for a while. But how would she decide? What about whoever she didn't pick? What was she going to do?The questions raced through Zala's mind. What would She do? She thought most of the questions over and over, but one remained very uncertain.


Who was she going to choose?

Talon nudged the rabbit towards Vitalli again."Come on, I caught this for you.I also went through a fight looking for it.Now, come on, eat," he said.

Vitalli began to eat the rabbit. "I know you're 'tough'," She said.If that's what you want to call it.She thought. She didn't say anything about her thoughts. "But that doesn't mean you should go looking for a fight. I mean, there might be something that we don't know about that pack, and I know I can't fight."

"Sure you can!You just get scared when you see the enemy.But, trust me, once you damage the enemy once, or try to, you'll be coming back for more.And, yes, I'm tough.I can sense it in your voice you don't beleive me, but trust me--you'll see.One day...one day, you'll see," said Talon.

"It's not that. I'm not scared of all enemies, just that one. Blair. I just....well....I don't....I don't want to hurt anyone."

"Blair?Eh, don't be afraid!After all, I'll protect you if any of those pack wolves think they can hurt you.If they want to kill you, I'll kill them.." said Talon, then readjusted himself, "Anyway...if you want to fight, you have to hurt someone!That's what fighting is!If you hurt them, its fine with me.But thats what I'm ok with--hurting.You see, I'm not the type of loner who likes to kill.I'm the one that just hurts.You see, I don't like killing.It makes me carry the guilt and burden of killing another wolf, and I don't like that.So, I just hurt.You should be the same.Killing isn't the thing I usually do, but I only use it as a last resort.A REALLY last one," he said.

"Well I don't want to fight. I don't need to! Talon, please, just promise me you'll leave them alone. When you fought against the two alphas, I was watching. And the Alpha Female, Zala has two pups, Safir ans Sola. So it really bothers me when you just walk up and start attacking them. Maybe if you would've given them a chance, they wouldn't fight us!"

"Well...the only reason I attack them is because I'm bored.There's nothing to do.I don't hurt them too bad, anyways, and I don't kill them.." said Talon, whining from his mate's yelling.He then left, ears laid down in sadness, head low.He wandered into Smoke Mountain Pack without knowing it, and was heading towards the camp.
