Kiva started to whimper."Daddy?".She said nudging his muzzle gently. She now was the only pup from Alana's litter that was still alive.

Darkness started to cry and rushed into the forest and sat on a large boulder next to the lake.

Owl and Autumn nudged there siblings bodies."What happened?".They asked.

[~*~ Dashy ~*~]

Shadow sat up and wrapped his paw around Kiva, holding her close to his heart. "They, didn't make it. They're with their mother now." he said licking Owl and Autumn gently.

[~Faith~]

Kiva nudged her father gently."Why did they have to die?".She asked starting to cry.

Owl and Autumn started to look for there mother."Dad wheres mom?".They asked.

Darkness looked up at the sky."Sister I have failed you take me and leave me here so you can be with your mate again".She said laying down at the waters edge.

Shadow looked at Kiva. "Your mother wanted to be with them, so she took them." he said gently. He looked at Owl and Autumn "She's grieving down at the lake. She will return soon."

[~Faith~]

Darkness sighed slightly and got up.She then started to wlak back home with head down and ears flat against her head.

Owl perked his ears."I think she's coming back dad".He said running back to his father.

Autumn slowly walked back to the den with her tail down and her eyes full of sorrow.

Kiva sighed and got up and sat beside her siblings.

Shadow padded outside the den, meeting Darkness at the entrance "It's alright dear. Fate can be cruel, but it can be rewarding. Something good will happen soon." he said nuzzling her neck and licking her cheek.

Kiva was almost the size of her parents now infact Owl and Autumn were to.

Darkness sighed and licked him back.
