Hearing her name being called, the she-cat pulled herself away from the aroma of the flowers and looked towards Leopardclaw. She wondered what he was going to say. Removing herself from the bark of the tree, Opalstrike moved towards the tom sitting before him.

With a slight tilt of her head, she responded awaiting for what he had to say. "Yes, Leopardclaw?" Her jade eyes locked on to Leopardclaw.

Leopardclaw: he looked at her. "i really like you OpalStrike, I like you enough to love you." he whispered to her hoping and wishing she felt the same.

The she-cat's eyes widened at the sudden truth the tom had told her. She hadn't expected something like this to be said and it had caught her by so much surprise.

Opalstrike got a hold of herself and smiled to Leopardclaw before she responded to his admission. "I know I haven't made it clear yet but I feel the same for you Leopardclaw. I actually have for a while. At first I just thought of you as a clan acquaintance but eventually you grew on me. I can honestly say ... I-I love you." The she-cat looked to the ground as she said that before glancing at the tom. Even though he admitted he loved her, it was still hard for her to tell her own feelings so easily. It felt good to get that out of her system and know that he felt the same way towards her as she did to him.

Leopardclaw: he smiled in relife as she felt the same. He nuzzled her. "i was afraid to tell you because i didn't know if you like me like that or not."

The she-cat smiled to Leopardclaw as she nuzzled him as well. As he spoke of the fear of telling her at first, she found it to be quite relate-able.. "You weren't alone. I wasn't sure how I could have told you about how I felt either. But at least now we know the truth of each other."

Opalstrike smiled to Leopardclaw. She licked the toms spotted fur along his forehead before nuzzling the tom once again.

Leopardclaww: he smiled softly and licked her spotted neck and looked at her. "will you be my mate OpalStrike?"

Opalstrike looked to Leopardclaw before giving him a smile and nodded to the offer. "Yes. I'll be your mate Leopardclaw." The she-cat purred at the tom before nuzzling him. She had finally found someone that she could call her own, a mate.

A major stepping stone in the she-cats life that was once a dream had come true. Leopardclaw meant a lot to Opalstrike and now that they had tied the knot becoming mates. "I'm glad to call you my mate now Leopardclaw."

Leopardclaw: "as i am glad to call you my mate as well." he smiled andtackled her lightly and licked her nose.

The she-cat chuckled at Leopardclaws actions and placed her nose to his cheek. Opalstrike nuzzled him before rolling over onto her paws and crawling from under the tom back to her own paws.

She smiled to the tom before pawing at his face, lightly. A gentle breeze blew passed through the air blowing some of the cherry blossom petals drifted along the rhythmic wind filling the air with a soft shade of pink.
