Scorpio felt the phone buzz in his pocket, but didn't reply. He knew exactly who it was, and didn't feel to much like answering. The inner circle, Brute, Queenie, and SnowFlake all waited with him on the elevated platform they where on. They all looked at each other; Scorpio usually didn't wait this long to induce new members. What was he playing at?

Tessa waited with the rest of the inductees to be inducted into the secret group of thieves. Being new from Ireland, she hadn't known there could even be so many thieves in one place! She had only witnessed Thief-Family-Gatherings, and those were pretty big. Not as big as this though.

Scorpio stood up. "Initiates!"

Tessa looked up expectantly. Someone tried to get her attention but she swatted whoever it was away, keeping her attention trained on Scorpio.

"Welcome. I am so glad you all could make it," Scorpio commented, scanning the crowd. "As many of you can infer, I am Scorpio. The one that summoned all of you here." He smiled at the crowd. "And You're reasons for being here are as individual and unique as each and every one of you. But we all have a common goal- a goal that I have taken the time and effort to flesh out for all of you. This goal-" He paused to emphasize, "is to be the best thief in the world."

Tessa smirked as she clapped along with the crowd. Being raised a thief, she felt certain as good as anyone here, if not better.

Scorpio waived the crowd into silence. "The way we help you achieve this goal is simple; we have recruited you into this organization to pit you against the best. You may either rise or fall, as to your own choosing," Scorpio waved a hand at Brute. "We have pre-assessed you, and have determined the sort of thievery you would be best in. This man will shortly have all your undivided attention, but I would like to welcome you all," He raised his arms dramatically, "As the children of Scorpio's Child!"

Tessa roared with a smile and a fist raised in the air along with all the other thieves gathered. She was the first to quiet down when it came time for Brute to speak.

Persephone frowned a bit.
Must be busy, she thought... I wonder when I could get some dirt from him later... PRobably bed-time... Assuming he'll actually go to bed tonight, and that I'll actually want to deal with a cranky Scorpio...

Tessa looked around for the person that had tapped her shoulder earlier, but she didn't find the person. She shrugged and looked ahead.
