Frostpaw giggled and dashed passed him. She ran towards the creek and looked over the edge into the water. "A crawdad!"

Scorchedpaw looked behind him and furrowed hsi brow "oh"

Scorchedpaw caught up to the other apprentice, and stood beside her; peering into the water. The dark tom did not see anything of much importance, besides stones and small fish, and cocked his head slightly. His pale icy blue eyes glowed with curiosity and confusion:
"What is this 'Crawdad' you speak of?"

Cricketsong waited for her friend by the Storm Clan border, she would cross over soon, once Flopwhisker caught up.
The lithe light-glden brown she-cat looked up at the sky, it was partly cloudy with a few rays of sunlight dappling the moors, through the gaps in the clouds. She thought it looked beautiful how the grass rippled in the slight breeze and as the sun highlighted the waves of the golden and green stems. It reminded her of the river back at home, and it made her want to leap into it and run though it as though she were swimming.

Frostpaw looked up at him her blue eyes sparkling with excitement. "It's right there!" She meowed pointing with her black-tipped paw to the bottom of the shallow creek. "See? Right next to the rock." A small crabbish creature with antennas on its head and claws was crouched almost half under a rock. His shell blended in well with the murky bottom.

Scorchedpaw looked down at the where Frostpaw had motioned. He tilted hsi dark head and peered itno teh water, he spotted the movement of the crustaction. He lifted a paw, and it darted into the water, as he poked it with curiousity. So many things here were different from his home.

Oakwhisker looked up at the sky, he could see teh sun burning in the sky, and he couldn't get the feeling from his head. His shoulder was almsot healed now, and he expected he would be able to hunt soon. however the dark brown tabby tom could not wait for teh gathering.

Frostpaw giggled again at the concentrated look on his dark face. "You've never seen one of those before have you?" she smiled. "You can't eat them because of the shell and they like to pinch too." Frostpaw screwed up her face remembering when she got pinched the first time. She and Mosspaw had been playing a game to see who could poke it more times without getting pinched. Mosspaw had won but he ended being pinched more. In the end the crawdad, they had decided, lost. It ended up dying either from being clawed, poked, and pushed around to many times or form staying out of the water to long.

Scorchedpaw leapt back with a jerk of his paw. "YYYEEEOOOOOOWWWW!" he exclaimed, and gingerly put his paw back down. He frowned at the creature "No....i guess not" he stuck his tongue out, making the dark tom seem slightly,....kit-like. He looked back at Frostpaw "I like fish better"
